Doing residency was a grueling step towards achieving his goal to be a surgeon, the hour, the tasks, the competitiveness, it takes a toll sometimes, and when he only have one off days, Jacob would choose to holed up inside, doing errands, but as luck would have it, there’s a slight oddness with his schedule and he got two off days, taking it as a sign, he finally mustered up a courage to really asked Ariel out on a date. Sure, they went out few times here and there, but he never officially asked her out on a date and called it a date before tonight, so he was very nervous. Deciding where to take her was another challenge, one that he even texted Katherine for advice, but after awhile he decided to just invite her to his apartment and cook for her (or attempting to cook for her), knowing that his roommate won’t be home until tomorrow because of his shift. It was just a simple pasta dish he learned how to make while watching youtube religiously, hoping that will be enough to showed Ariel that he put a little effort into this date.
