Explanation under the cut because this is kind of vague

So! Laz was born in Las Vegas, lived there his whole life and unlife up until recently. Then the Prince (who he liked a lot), and both of Laz's partners among many other loyalists of the very progressive Prince/anarchs in the Camarilla controlled city were executed. He watched one of his partners die so at least he has closure for that, but not the other (behind the screen: he is absolutely dead but Laz is a mess regardless because no closure). So now that he's an Anarch, and absolutely was a vocal supporter of the former Prince, there's no way he would be able to survive going back. At least that's his assumption and mine.

So the "haunting" here is his past and all the trauma of being a Tzimisce who can never go home <333
