Wasn't he the old man who lived nearby? He was always complaining about his age. Well, time to make the old man even slower. She waved a spell and a pair of dark colored boots were on his feet, replacing his geta. They were cursed boots and unable to be removed. They would slow him down considerably as well. She cackled and disappeared, leaving him to fend for himself.

Soseki laughs. You saw that huh? I was supporting my friend Allen. He recently came up to me and asked for help in the love department. I was there to remind him what I had told him.
"Oh? So that's the game you're playing?" Claire didn't know whether or not she found that completely amusing. But she couldn't hold in the stifling a coarse laugh at this all knowing wisdom in this ‘love department’ of his. “And so holding yourself tight and making faces at them was reminding him? You must really be some teacher, haha.”

Yuri kept her head down as she wandered into the library. She really didn't like being seen anywhere, and in a place as quiet and desolate as the library, she decided to take extra precaution when it came to being as quiet as a mouse. After all, she wasn't in the library to chat with friends or spend more time than necessary. She was in the library to pick up a romance novel.
The idea of a storybook romance appealed even to her to some degree, and so, whenever she heard that the library had more stories in stock, she had to check them out.
As she slowly moved through the rows of bookshelves, Yuri barely noticed a boy also in the library until she made the mistake of stepping directly on one of his feet.
She jumped back; startled and looked up at the tall boy, who in all honesty looked more like a man, much too old to be in high school. "U-Uh... Er... Sorry..."
Yuri then made a mental note to watch where the hell she was going.
