Stealth Advertising As stated by study.com 2016, Stealth advertising is a method of advertising in which the consumer is often not consciously aware that he/she is being subjected to advertising. While some argue that stealth advertising is a deceptive and unethical marketing practice, regulators have generally not pursued companies for engaging in it. Product placement is a form of advertising (usually not involving ads) in which branded products and services are noticeable within a drama production with large audiences. Product placements are often initiated through an agreement between a product manufacturer and the media company in which the media company receives economic benefit. A company will often pay a fee to have their product used, displayed, or significantly featured in a movie or show. The pictures above are some examples of stealth advertising through product placements. The pictures were taken from the movie "My Bebe Love" which is an entry to the MMFF 2015. In the first picture, you can notice that while Maine and Alden was talking, there was 2 coca-cola bottles on the table. They can cover it with tissue or anything but still chose to let the audience see what brand of soft drinks they are drinking since coca-cola paid for it. In the second picture, you can see that Tide products are placed at the back of Alden. You might think that why not Pride? Why not Champion? Why Tide? The answer is simple. Of course, the company that produces tide paid the media company for their product to be shown in the movie. Lastly, the third picture shows that Alden and Maine was eating at McDonalds. Since the two of them are endorsers of the fast food chain McDo, they were shown in the movie. Of course, it's not for free. McDonalds paid the producers of My Bebe Love in order for them to have that scene inside McDo. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with stealth advertising. But, they should also know their limitations. Other consumers see this as unethical so they should find a way to respect these opinions since they are doing this for attracting more buyers for their products.

Birds of Prey (Aves de rapiña) Honestly, when I first read it, I didn't get the story. I was quite confused because the words was very deep. But after I read it a few times, I think I quite understand the message of it. I think the message of Birds of Prey is that people with more power tends to control those who doesn’t. I got that idea from this line, "The relation between the ones and the others is that dictated by the appetite and the power to satisfy it at the fellow-creature’s expense.” One great example is about how politicians prey on the weak to vote for them. At first, they seem honest and humble people but they only do it for their own benefits. After the elections and they won, they will forgot about those whom they used for their success. Birds of Prey mirrors reality that's why it's still considered a classic. It reflects how our society works. Most of us prey to the weak for our success. In order for a person to succeed, there should be someone to fail. In short, we prey for the weak to rise. We depend on them for us to win.

The Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

At the start, I thought it was boring. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the movie. It has lessons for the viewers. I'd like to point out some parts of the movie that really caught my attention. When they are about to report about the cat's fashion show, they tagged it as "breaking news". For me, it was not that important for them to tag that news as "breaking news". I also hate the fact that men are always the focus of the movie. Sexism is very obvious in the movie. They didn't allowed girls to be the anchor. They are claiming that it should be anchorman, not anchorwoman and it sucks to be honest. Women can do what men can do. Don't underestimate the girl power. Anyway, I also admire how Veronica Coringstone coped up with her situation easily. Everyday in the office, most of his co-workers are men. Eventhough the guys are sort of bullying her, she just ignored it and go on with her work. Bottomline, I think this movie wants to prove to anyone that news that shown on TVs are controlled. They only show what they think people will like. They are not providing news that the people needs to know.

Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgundy

Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgundy News always have bloopers and funny moments in reality but in a fiction world of media that has nothing to compare with the movie Anchorman. The movie was based on true events in the 1970's, A movie full of humor that maybe drastically put comedy movies in new hypes it could have some cliché in delivering jokes or making the audiences laugh, but it still gets me even the acts of Brick being a retard can result to funny actions. It is filled with the acts of silliness and lines that are so unforgettable that most lines are popular in the internet that gave birth to memes. For Ron Burgundy played by Will Farrell showed his talents being one of the greatest comedians of all time and he gave Ron Burgundy a icon character and which has been in my list of the top 100 favorite movie characters. He showed the actual acts of being a anchor man you need to have a big sense of humor that can get the audience laughing their butts off and of course saying one liners. Nothing gets more ridiculous once when he make his on news team which has the funniest characters, you have the retard Brick, mojo man Fantana, winner Champ and the leader of the squad classy Ron. The news team did give lots of laughs and showed the importance in having teams in life and nothing gets funny with the team fighting of other news teams. The movie didn't fail on representing the view of news but it did have some flaws in representing news in a particular ways that does not relate to real news. In the movie the news of Ron Burgundy had headlines of not so of important news needed in the public. Well it is a movie of comedians and media people. In the perspective of the news team of Ron Burgundy it did not give any importance to its news it just wanted to report news that is not news. But of course it is just a movie but media has to be taken seriously especially news because this movie was actually based on true events. The entire news was just focused entirely on animals giving birth. Anchorman is one of my movies that is really funny and something that can make you watch over and over again. I would give the movie a 3 out of stars because it is funny and it shows each characters crazy level of randomness in each scene. Nothing can get an afternoon delight with out watching a Burgundy in sight. Stay classy LBASS 😀

Aldub❤️'s force is strong in this one!!!

Aldub is the sensational tv show in the Philippines that is shown in Eat Bulaga, over 25 million hits in twitter worldwide, how could that be possible? Well Filipinos loves making love teams like Kathniel, Jadine and of course Aldub. Filipinos take these love teams seriously, when these love teams break up it will show up in headlines and the hearts of the every Filipino fans will have their hearts broken, but for me I don’t really care about these love teams, if they break up fine with me. Well Aldub makes up lots of money due to its popularity and sponsors. The show gave lots of headlines in the Philippines 24 oras (GMA NEWS). Well I agree with their love team they are popular most of the people are talking about Alden and Yaya dub like what happen in this episode , why did they do this and the Filipinos could make aldub their topic in their conversations. Honestly I ship them, that's what I like about the show they put two young people in a show for the chance for the chance to fall in love they have a so called "chemistry" love it starts with stares and looks, like when you look at at your crush and she stares back at you then people starts to say woah you guys made a spark but again these people are actors. What I don't like is that who cares if they only do it for the rate and yes this is what I hate they only do it of popularity and ratings for god sakes. Eat Bulaga have lots of viewers ever since aldub came. With lots of viewers, there are certain Filipinos who waits for these kinds of show it is like they are stuck in a dream that they couldn’t escape. A professor once said in the Philippines “puro na lang Aldub”. Yes, this is true because you can see them in headlines, food, commercial, it is most likely breaking the tweetosphere over like I said in the first part 25 million and rising. Not to mention they still have lots of plans for the love team Aldub the kalyeserey (a new type of show in the Philippines) there is still a Christmas special, birthdays to come of Alden and Yaya Dub, valentines and other things that the eat bulaga community and the producers can do. One thing that made me rant for once about a show is that really a news headline just because of of yaya dub getting jealous over a model taking over Alden. Come 24 oras you guys have other important News to cover up. In a family in the community of lbass 3 out of 5 are addicted to Aldub. It really annoys me to hear girls screaming and taking about Aldub “OMG aldub” “kilig pa more” “pabebe” come on talk about something else. Anyways in the Brightside what I like was the 3 lolas and the dora were honestly funny in their ways their humors I do sometimes understand their jokes and humors well the thing that makes them funny is the way they cross dress there not really ladies their just guys under dresses and of course they improve really good. Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola are funny guys. Aldub is great kalyeserey and in fact was the first one ever made in the history of media. It has been a blessing for GMA and Eat Bulaga. This show can be important to our media popularity this could be love by other nations by the ways of what aldub has for them to offer.

Survey Experiences

We didn’t expect this to be so hard on talking to people politely because some of them are aggressive, high tempered, and making an excused so they can’t be interviewed. The intensity of the heat waves of the sun makes us sweaty and smell bad due to our sweat in our clothes. There are 4 household that rejected our survey and 2 households that didn’t answered our survey and it’s too hard for us to find other houses. Due to our patience of waiting, we were able to complete our job and gt back too early in the school and started tallying our data. I had a good time talking to my partner and us do our job a little bit faster. I had problems on other households because they said that they were interviewed but we were the only ones that was conducting on the street assigned in there. I can’t believe that one household rejected to answer our survey with a bad manner. Well I got an good time experiencing to survey people and learned many things.
