Stealth Advertising

Stealth advertising is a method of advertising in which the consumer is often not consciously aware that she is being subjected to advertising. It is also one of the strategies that is used in movies so they can sponsor their products while watching the movie without interruption. My assignment is to make this blog about stealth advertising and I watched these movies again to spot a stealth advertise. So here is what I’ve found in these movies:

As you can see right now, this is a Audi R8 E-tron that is used by Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. This Audi R8 E-tron is just using electricity rather gas/diesel which make this an Eco-friendly car.

This two superb cars (which is a 5th gen Chevy Camaro and a Ferrari 458 Italia) in this picture above came from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. This extravagant cars can make you want to buy this models because of the spectacular design and exclusive for everyone that can afford these cars. 

You can see the last picture above, you can see an unique futuristic car made by BMW that showed in the movie Mission Impossible 5. That futuristic car above is called the BMW i8 which is also an Electric car like the Audi R8 E-tron. 

Stealth advertising is a wise strategy for the audiences to get their attention spotlight on their product. These kind of advertising is way better than the old fashioned advertisement which pops out every commercial in the TV which is very aggravating.

Birds of Prey

The editorial Aves de Rapiña(Birds of Prey) was written by Fidel Reyes and published on October 30, 1908 in the independence promoting newspaper El Renacimiento. 

What is it about?

- It’s about a very powerful person who tried to take advantage of the people around him by convincing them to do something that they have no clue that it’s bad for them. The story takes place in the Mountains of Benguet where a place full of gold in that location. They convince the local citizens or the igorots to mine those gold for something in return but he only intended on the gold not the local citizens. 

Is it considered a classic?

-This was published in the year 1908 and was based of the history of the Philippines several centuries ago due to the foreigners invaded the Philippines for them to conquer as a source of resources.

Does it still apply today?

-Yeah, it happens like on the spratly islands, countries are fighting for an island to be claimed for its resources contain in that island. It also applies on the government if you consider the government as the predator and the people of the country as the prey. If the government gets corrupt, they take money from its people for their personal satisfaction.

Opinion

- My opinion here if a high position or power gets into the wrong hands, a lot can things would go wrong and since they have the power to do virtually anything they want, they can have it done by in an instant which is bad for the people.

Anchorman

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was based from a famous broadcaster form the 1970′s. This film makes me laugh and contains not suited for children. Based on what I watch, this film has a lot of corny jokes and comedic scenes. I still can’t believe that it happened in real life. The film contains a lot of exaggeration in the scenes. The acting is great and they make me laugh a lot. Overall, the entire film was really well rounded. All of these characters are hilarious in the film and it has become one of the most quotable films in history. 

This movie was well done and full of corny adult jokes, childish nonsense and unquotable moments.

Aldub is everywhere even in foods

Well first of all I don’t watch this before and for me this is just full of crap with full of nonsense. Those cheesy lines makes my brain hurt and I’m not a fan of those kinds of shows. I’ve never watch Aldub before and I’m curious of people liking and watching that show, maybe they’re related to each other or something like that. The show is kinda funny and some jokes are too corny for me. Well going back to the topic, I watched this show only once because I don’t have time to waste to watch shows like that. Some jokes and lines are kinda nice but most of them are corny. They make love by dubsmash as their communication. There are three lolas on the scene with those two together. There’s a guy who likes the girl but never gets her attention. The acting is quite nice and some of the scenes are not acting at all, I mean they do it for real and people gets “kilig” but for me it has no effect like poker face while watching it. People nowadays are so obsessive in love that’s why they’re watching this show because they want to search for the “perfect partner”. Well NOBODY’s  PERFECT and you can’t just get all you want in an instant. You gotta wait for the time to see the “one” that you will open your eyes to see it’s not about the looks but it’s all about the quality of person. Teens nowadays all ways looks on the quality outside and not in the inside which means people fall in love by their looks not the attitude/personality of the person. Well I hate aldub for endorsing through all kinds of stuffs just to make money for it like in foods, commercial, things, and other else. I dislike on their screen time to take a long for a simple plot.

Survey Experiences

We didn’t expect this to be so hard on talking to people politely because some of them are aggressive, high tempered, and making an excused so they can’t be interviewed. The intensity of the heat waves of the sun makes us sweaty and smell bad due to our sweat in our clothes. There are 4 household that rejected our survey and 2 households that didn’t answered our survey and it’s too hard for us to find other houses. Due to our patience of waiting, we were able to complete our job and gt back too early in the school and started tallying our data. I had a good time talking to my partner and us do our job a little bit faster. I had problems on other households because they said that they were interviewed but we were the only ones that was conducting on the street assigned in there. I can’t believe that one household rejected to answer our survey with a bad manner. Well I got an good time experiencing to survey people and learned many things.

My Reflection in E-Tech

I have learned a lot things this first semester in e-tech and of course I can easily relate to our topics because this subject is about technology. I may be a digital native, I realized that there are a lot of things about technology that I didn’t know. There must be precautions in using technology and it must be handled responsibly. Information and communication technology is extremely powerful and When it is the right hands, anything is possible. Technology can also be used for social change. Our generation is the hope of the future and we need to take advantage of the things we have now and do something that is worthwhile. Use ICT or Information and Communication Technology as a platform for change to make a better world possible. I am looking forward for the next semester. I hope next semester, we’ll do other fun activities like making a campaign website or an infographic and other else like that.

Which is better? This awesome Tumblr or Facebook?

We’ve always known that everyone uses Facebook more than tumblr, but lets see how this goes.

Social Media, like Facebook, is popularly the most used one with millions and more. In Social Medias like Facebook, you can be popular in just a day or a mere minute, because of shares done by millions of people starting from a friend, then shared once again, then shared and then, the post is now popular, and can be seen by lots of people. Posting status updates in Facebook or twitter has always a limit, so for busy people who need to have a quick read, the posts on twitter and Facebook is focused on the main points or key points, removing all the distracting words or “fluff” that can make the reader uninterested.

Blogging, like Tumblr, is popularly used too, but not that much like Facebook’s size of population. Blogging has advantages over Social Media. If Facebook can be used to make long posts short, and focusing on key points only, but how about complex topics? Complex topics is hard to be shortened, and with limits on Facebook, can’t be done there, Tumblr has unlimited space for that, plus, customizing your blog to be it your own unique blog, which makes your blogs yours, unlike social media, with no customization, well you can always just change your cover photo or profile picture but  in the end, is still just another profile.

Blogs or the famous Social Media?

Social Media is used by millions of people and tweets, status updates are posted every day. The traffic flow of social media is so high that almost anyone can see it. Another advantage is social media posts are just short and not many people have a lot of time just to read.

Blogs on the other hand are much more better for information because you can create your own template unlike social media where you use their own design and can’t change it. at all.  You can also change every little detail in your blog from text font to blog layout. In order to get people to view your blog you normally need to advertise it somewhere so people can actually read your content.

But which wins? Both have advantages and disadvantages but the one you should use really depends on you. Blogs and Social Media have their own purposes while blogging is an excellent way of marketing content while social media can get you a very big crowd in no time it is difficult to publish informative and well written posts.
