Okay but like. The reasons I am so ????? about the event.

CN PL event story spoilers below the cut.

The possibility of there being an absolutely ancient Alkaid out there in some universe who might theoretically learn to universe hop or do other space/time shenanigans (me guessing based on some of the things he can do). Also a planet eater and essentially an eldritch cosmic being. The one thing that gives me pause about this being a legit alternate timeline is his reaction of pure rage and anger at "the voice" causing his planet to be destroyed. Like I guess child Alkaid was always a bit more volatile/emotional than adult Alkaid (as seen with Edenkaid) but hm. Like my current thought is this is a movie he and MC made/it's Cael's possible-timeline-theater. And i'm still scratching my head over the dinosaur and coming home things; not sure if analogy or literal or "there is a theoretical timeline where this is the case". Again don't read mind-fucky LBC stories while high

On MC's end, the implication of her being able to re-write/alter reality through her artform (in this case, writing) alone unless again this is just a theoretical possibility or not real. I single this out because I consider her ability to do this through time travel a different ability altogether since she has to directly interfere rather than re-write cause and effect.

And again this also hearkens back to the Alkaid+MC theme of multiple possibilities and meeting in multiple theoretical worlds and timelines. I guess thinking along these lines, we could get something in the epilogue where PL asks MC the same question his self in this alternate timeline/possibility did of "would you trade the current me for my other self?".

Reading the CN event PL story while slightly high last night was probably not the best of ideas. I need that epilogue first probably before I reread because I am so ?????? about the story context/framing. Like did I retain what the message/overall story was? Yeah. But is this an alternate timeline? Is this Cael's possible-realities-theater again? It did play the Alkaid Awakening theme at the end. I haven't read the card yet. Mmmmmaybe that will add context but also lately the PL cards have been in a way independent of the corresponding event story. Like my big question is how much of the PL information in this event story do I have to take with a grain of salt and what is reliable information. And MC information too.

So I finished the current CNY/Valentines 2026 story on CN for PL a couple days ago. There's like. One minor detail at the end that's driving me up a wall because I'm foggy on certain world building details and I want to ask people who might remember better about that world building detail but I also don't want to give away spoilers on accident. Help.

I also finished Godforsaken Land Chapter 3 Part 2. I have. Thoughts. That I will save for a dedicated post. I'm also mentally bouncing off the walls over a certain scene because it was everything I wanted. Also fuck u conchmeat for where that chapter ended at.

Thinking about the end of the new CN PL card and like. The mental imagery of him making out with MC and suddenly stopping and going "^^ okay you're running a fever. Time to sleep," and bundling her up and tucking her into bed is. Really funny. Rat bastard man.

Finally got around to reading the new PL card on CN and. God. I am. Processing. Majority lore heavy with a little bit of spice at the end. 10/10 card. Mind fucky, introspective, took a turn for horrifying at some points, nice ending.

Not really much new new information. But. Like. The new info is. Hrrrrrmmmm. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE CAN DO THAT AND YOU DON'T ELABORATE FURTHER.

(Rambling thoughts and analysis below the cut. Spoilers and blah blah blah)

What do you mean this fucker can create black holes and close them at will and can also seem to perform spatial manipulation. On top of his metal manipulation abilities. Like. What. What the fuck. Hidden ability indeed. Also kinda fork found in kitchen reveal that he was being observed for almost all of his life and then it eventually drove his observer insane because PL was just so normal yet nothing anomalous ever happened yet he was just a weird fucking guy sometimes but it wasn't anything they were looking for related to his hidden power. Like the reveal that his observer got insanely obsessed and continued even after PL's case was closed when he got promoted to Prefect was kinda just. *nod* yeah makes sense I guess. People who try to look too closely at an Alkaid tend to just go insane I feel like.

Oh. There's also the whole bit that PL apparently tried to reflect on his life and glean answers about things but well. He had issues. I don't like bringing in psychological terminology into a non-explicitly stated psychological media work but the best way i can describe the description of what he described when he tried to relive his past was "dissociation". Like being trapped in another body that is not his own and unable to feel his surroundings. I think this is meant to tie into how he clings too heavily to the past. Before he held himself back through others related to him (Tidal Disruption), and now it's his own past that weighs him down. While some self retrospection is good, it is possible to drown in it. This could also be taken from another angle as "the 'him' of today is so vastly different from the 'him' of the past" that he is unable to view those memories as though he lived them anymore. I am inclined more towards the "drowning in the past" angle what with the, uh, blood imagery (that i cannot begin to describe you just have to read it) and the train blackout. But it could also be both. Realizing the descriptions of all of this sounds like insanity. Because the last traincar is, in my opinion, a representation of the moment of the future. A future where sometimes there is a stowaway. And here's where my memory is already getting fuzzy despite the fact I just read the card. I think him ending up not destroying the train is perhaps acceptance that maybe his past is still his, and he shouldn't discard it and he can still move forward and also what happens to the future if he discards his past. I'm still turning over the "mirror-image train" bit in my head. I need to re-read the card already lol. My first thought goes back to his first SSR and then that jumps me to the tidbit of information about the relationship between him and modernkaid but that could be me misinterpreting things. And again, already fuzzy on some details.

Oh right the spice. Kinda goofy premise, was rolling my eyes a couple times. But also kinda cute.

Got my 5th anni lotto merch and top up box today! (Letters below the cut if you just want to read those)

The collectible cards are very pretty. They have nice foil printing. And the pins are very glittery!

So. I ended up with 4 polaroid sets from the merch lotto. And then some misc ML merch.

Thinking I'll snag some complete sets of the rest of the merch when it rolls around for sale this year and then run a giveaway of each ML set + 3 polaroid sets when the event rolls around on global. TBD. I just really don't care for the likes of mercari and trying to fuss with all that so I'd rather just give away. Also just to do something nice for the community. Probably gonna cross post this between here and twitter.

alkaid has this repeated theme about healing from trauma and pain, especially prevalent in his modern storyline (and very thrown in your face with PL).

watching abyss slowly crawl out of the hole of depression and hopelessness he was in only for him to give it all up once he accomplished something he felt was worthwhile just for MC even though he didn't love her was tear-my-heart-out painful. he keeps saying his talents and capabilities are insignificant and yet he's the person capable of connecting with and understanding people's pain the best and causing ripples of change amongst the people. he's been at the absolute lowest of lows in life and crawled out of it and yet he still thinks he's insignificant.
