It was fun. It was a game... to start. The Legion hired me to help fight a war but the most surprising part of it was helping you. You were in the middle of this war but had never lead the charge. So I chose the easiest way to teach you- we played games.
That scowl must have scared off so many before because hardly anyone interrupted. But that is when I found out the most interesting thing- you never hid. Everything you thought and everything you felt came right out. You attack every new experience with a stubborn growl and charge; never surrendering till you figured it out. This was beyond refreshing to an empath.
The amazement kept going even after I explained my abilities. You let me touch you without fear. If anything we might have both been uneasy but you were also curious. Weren't you? You wanted to play more, conquer more, and learn. Somehow it switched from playing games with me to checking with me like a referee that you were doing things right.
This sparked even more change. But this time in me. My past, my outfit, even my restraint as someone said the unfiltered parts aloud. I did get a new outfit and some new scars from this war you brought with you but I will never regret how we played.
