Random Kell Concept
I had a thought while working on things (promise I'll be back soon! At least with sketches). What if Kell-El didn't like physical contact? Gotta say a lot of it would be very foreign to him being raised as a war tool. So trying to be physical isn't something that comes naturally to him. But talking (arguing, or speaking loudly) and being closer in proximity is natural because that's how he figures things out.
"I need to stop starting fandom projects so I stop disappointing people."
it's okay to disappoint people
it's okay to work slowly
it's okay to let yourself rest
it's okay to drop projects
Stop treating yourself like you are the workers at a fast food franchise.
Your writing is a hobby, don't let it turn into a source of guilt, shame and frustration instead of a source of joy.
Had to step out
Sorry for the sudden disappearance. A big change came up for me and it required a lot of immediate attention. I have to move by the end of the month but after that I will be back to writing and drawing!
See you soon!
Saw this on Twitter and wanted to share.
how do your lines look so good
Ehhh it's a mix of things tbh, namely
Loads of practice and observation because I've always found lineart the most fun part of the process and love analysing how other artists do it (plus I've been inspired by a lot of artists with lineart-heavy work)
The type of brushes and canvases I use (inky or pencil-y brushes on small canvases, which gives them a more loose/crunchier look)
The type of stylisation I use? Lineart looks better when you pair it with shape language and volume, since it helps you decide what lines to put where, how heavy they should be, etc
Last but not least because it's a non-insignificant part of why my strokes are pretty confident: I hold my pen very weirdly LMAO. I've been told it reminds people of certain types of grip people use for calligraphy, and it basically means I only use finger motion and short strokes on small areas (instead of wide wrist/arm motions). It makes it easier to work on zoomed out areas and keep track of the flow of the lines and details, and also it speeds up the process quite a bit

Thought this might help others who struggle when writing. I know I get in my head too much.

I'm cooking something crazy but if you want peak viewer enjoyment you have to tell me something-
If a oc creator had a mini comic done what would you want to see that oc do?
Do you want more about the character?
How they interact with canon?
Is there a moment important to you?
Mutuals who I have hardly spoken with but we instead communicate through silently liking and reblogging each other's posts... I hope you're all having a lovely day ✨
