Her hair was so long and soft. It was impossible not to idly play with it as he sat on the floor, textbooks open and papers strewn about the floor. Iarios decided that there would be no better study break than letting strands of gold slip through his fingers.

So he stood, carefully slipped the ribbon from Minako’s hair, and began to comb through her hair. First, a brush. Then, his fingers. What did she use to get it so silky soft?

She gave him the playful warning, and Iarios smirked. “That sounds more like a challenge,” he teased, fingers moving up closer to her scalp. “I’ll have you know I’ve ever been the risk-taker.”

His hands are up, universally signalling his harmlessness and surrender. The problem is he is not harmless and she knows it and he knows it and he really just wants to like ..not be skewered on a sword.

The tensions had been brewing for quite some time but the Starlights had done their best not to pry as much. However, it seemed to come to a head when their cover had been blown. More tensions boiled to the point Taiki had enough of it in some respects. Always a soldier, she had not been surprised at the confrontation on the roof by the blonde. She was merely surprised it had not happened sooner as it did with the Outer Senshi.

She turned and recollected a portion of her history. If they were to trust one another, she had to be up front despite what her sisters in arms would think later. Given the circumstance, Sailor Star Maker had nothing left to hide and so gave the truth. The bitter and sour truth that still haunted her nightly despite pushing hard to blend in amongst the humans of Earth. Screams of those sort never faded from memory and hers was tainted with them.

Taking a step to lean on the edge of the roof with her hands, she closed her eyes at Minako's question.

"Evil and darkness will always try to twist their way to tipping the balance scale in their favor. It's been that way for millennia. Balance must be retained and at times it comes with the scale moving back and forth."

Pushing off the edge, Taiki turned to look to the soldier of love. Her eyes were no longer as hard as they had been previously but looked clouded and disoriented. It was obvious the pain of the past was present in those once bright amethyst eyes.

"By baiting out Galaxia and taking her out by any means needed. If the price is my life, so be it as long as no one else suffers the way I have."

All That Glitters

She was silent as she pushed her grandfather along the city streets - the meeting had been a long one, as usual, but hopefully after the final drafts to the new contracts were submitted, they could leave Japan and return to Germany for a spell...or the house Stateside...either would be fine, but the cabin in the Germanic forests was preferable...far removed from people.

She could feel the stares again - seeing someone as obviously young as herself in business wear must have been quite the sight, never mind her more western features drawing even more attention.

A touch of her hand made her jolt, shifting her focus back to her grandfather, the soft, weary smile he gave her making her posture relax slightly, “Sei beruhige, Enkelin - wir sind fast da.”

“..es tut mir Leid, Opa.” she murmured quietly, shifting her thumb over his fingers to give him a light squeeze in return, allowing her eye to drift back to the traffic signal, and noting a familiar face across the busy thoroughfare that made her heart drop into her stomach - her again?!

She felt her cheeks grow hot as she quickly dropped her gaze, hands shaking as her grip on the wheelchair became white knuckled - she looked wholly different now than she had when she’d first run into her...perhaps there was a small chance she wouldn’t recognize her?
