It's A Transformers Clone, And Yet I Got Attatched.

Okay so Metal Cardbots, my FYP on tiktok kept shoving clips in my face here and there. And of course all i could think is "Cool, a Transformers Rip-Off that also decided to pull a Yu-Gi-Oh," and initially kinda dismissed it. Mainly because of the over all tone and style.

Key word Initially

I got more clips. And more clips. And then edits. And more memes. And then I saw some interesting clips that finally said "You are going to watch this and you are going to like it." So finally I did.

So about a month or so later, scouring the internet like my life depended on it. A random Wednesday Night to Thursday Early hours.

I finished Metal Cardbots W.

And um, you know? If I do not get Season 4 on my desk soon? Heads are going to roll. Like actually roll.

BECAUSE WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK WAS THAT?!

YO WHAT THE FUCK YOU ALL DOING OVER THERE?! HELLO??????????

I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! BOTH IN GETTING SPOILED AND THE FACT THAT A LOT OF TIMES THEY SURE LIKE TO LEAVE THE AUDIENCE IN TEARS! OH THIS SHOW SILLY FUN AT THE END OF THE DAY? HERE! WE'LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO CRY ABOUT! AND EVEN THEN, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU RUN OUT OF TISSUES BEFORE WE GET THERE!

Suffice to say, I did in fact end up enjoying Yu-Gi-Oh 5D Transformers. My favorite Cardbot is Glober. Love that silly little adventurer!

And somebody PLEASE! Get these kids some therapy after this!

Season one was fun. Season two was interesting. Season three is heart wrenching. It's like, they lure you in with the silly little concept of turning transforming robots into cards and giving them little powers based on the ability card it comes with after you capture them.

And then down the rabbit hole Alice went.

Anyways, I shall speed run to season 4 once it drops.

Writing Prompt Call

Welp, I am bored as fuck right now. Quarantine got me down and whatnot. So, since some are starting to come around this little corner of tumblr I have claimed as my own, i’d thought i’d do something a little different. So, I decided to open up the box for prompt ideas that people might want to throw my way to get a feel of my storytelling and writing. I do fluff, angst and other things. 

So let’s start with the baseline of things, I will not do NSFW. I can do mature content such as gore and whatnot, but I won't do adult happy fun times. It's more that I'm not comfortable with that nor have an interest in the future. I will not do hate stuff against groups and/races such as LGBTQ and so on. Also I will not be doing people’s OCs. Mainly speaking, I might save that for another time. 

Alright with that out of the way, here are the fandoms I am willing to write for because I am familiar with as well as one more advisory. Mainly it’s fandoms I am willing to write ship fics for if you so desire. I’ll be taking up to 5 suggestions in total this first round. First come, first served.

So the animation vs addiction video came out. What do ya think of it??

Finally got a chance to watch it today, been busy. I can absolutely go into more depth later if folks want.

Initially thoughts: very different from what we are used to seeing. But not in a bad way at all, a tonal shift that really works for the topic they are covering. Not uttering a single word with each action carrying a real weight to them. Such as the punches and lashing out from Blue. Fighting is normal for them but this felt very different in a good way. Very real, very raw so to speak. How to talk about a very serious topic in a way a general audience can understand. No surprise they nailed it. The 3D low polygon background was such a good choice for this. Having it grow worse and worse as Blue continued through their struggles. Hell it even lost visibility at the lowest point. Which one of many metaphors and motifs they threw in here. As well as a lot of the character and story aspects. Such as TSC being a little greyed out as Blue is struggling to connect the buttons. A lightbulb moment when we saw Blue struggling while TSC wasn't effected by whatever Blue was afflicted with. it makes the most sense to have Blue do this given the characters previous actions and established characteristic. But the reality of addiction is this: it's hard, it really is. Blue had a support system that knew exactly how to help and even then, the withdrawals made giving up a viable option for TSC. It wasn't until Blue had to put in their own effort to really break the chains so to speak. TSC gave Blue the open door, but it was up to them to actually step through it. It was really hard watching Blue go after the buttons, knowing what it was doing to them. And right at the end where the world looked bright, beautiful and there were details and that hug? Perfect.

There were so many metaphors within this 11 minute video, I'd have to take a bit to catch them all. But once again, well done to the Alan Becker Team for giving us something utterly spectacular.

Hermitcraft: Iskall

By now many of you would have gotten the news about Iskall's departure due to complaints. We also got confirmation that no minors were involved by Mumbo Jumbo himself. I hate that this is a sentence that is going to come out of my mouth because THAT SHOULD BE THE NORM AND NOT THE EXCEPTION, but thank fuck for that. So can breathe a little easier. So let me be clear about some things: WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! And we are NOT GOING TO FORCE an explanation from the Hermits until they are ready. I know some of you are young/new, take it from me. Speculation on what happened and why will not get you anywhere. You will just spin yourself into a down spiral, that will not help you in the long run. DO YOUR RESEARCH! I know it will be easy to fall into the pit traps of speculation and misinformation. For now, let them be. Let me repeat myself: Let The Hermits Be. They need their time to take care of things and sort out their own emotions. You have probably already seen thumbnail changes and shop changes. It's going to happen and just let it run its course. For now focus on yourselves. And to the former Iskall Fans who might be feeling guilty right now: You are not at fault in any way, shape or form. You are not a bad person for liking him in the past. And for the rest of you, from what I am here people are being mature and good on you for that. Just wait and see what happens for now alright? You're doing good, I know there is a lot of shit going on right now outside of this and all this might have been a massive blow. Just, please, take care of yourself in the meanwhile. We don't know and we are not owed anything until they are ready. So sit down, have some water and take a breath. Anyways LD signing off. Side note from my writer's blog regarding my fanfiction Zoids Era's End if that interests you: I knew that when I wanted to include any minecrafter from all walks of SMPs and so on, I might run into an issue like this. For now I will not be including Iskall in that group. In fact a change was already made before all of this went down which I guess works out in my favor. Always ready to pivot on the dime I suppose.
