Rating: totally child-friendly
Pairing: Afrojack/Hiroomi Tosaka (not sure if they count as a pairing in this one but I am considering a sequel where its more implied)
A/N: I blame those pics of Afrojack and Omi hangin out together ok.
Sometimes we have questions and sometimes the answers aren’t definite
There was a question that had silently snuck into his mind starting from when he first was introduced to Hiroomi, yet Nick had never really had the courage to ask. He tried to remember a certain point where it began but seeing as Hiroomi was very comfortable displaying his affectionate habits to the people around him, he could never really find one.
The same were for a right moment to ask. There were always people around them every time they met, and he dreaded feeling like a fool if his assumption was not correct or if he would come across as rude.
Yet now when they sat and talked leisurely, beer in hand and with privacy from both associates and strangers alike, he felt rather flustered about the thought of asking. What if his question was misunderstood.
However, as they both got more and more influenced by the alcohol he felt his uncertainty slowly dissipating and when a fuzzy-minded Hiroomi leaned his head on Nick’s shoulder, he popped the bubble.
“Hiroomi, I’ve been wondering?”
“About what?” Hiroomi straightened up and turned to look at Nick, who had covered his face with his hand.
“Well…” he paused, trying to find a good wording. “I’ve noticed you are rather comfortable with your male friends and co-workers. So… do you swing that way?” If his hand wasn’t already concealing his mouth, he would have facepalmed. So much for trying to not sound condescending.
“You do know I’ve been in relationship with women, do you?” Hiroomi’s voice was laced with amusement and Nick relaxed a bit. “But I can’t really say I have never been attracted to men too.”
“So, you’re bisexual then.”
“I wonder if its really that simple.”
Nick was observing Hiroomi who was staring at the bottle in front of him, a few silent seconds went by before Hiroomi met his eyes again.
“You know the cartesian plane?”
“The cross with a y-axis and x-axis, right?” It was surprising how his memory had managed to preserve this.
“Let’s say the x-axis shows whether you are more drawn to men or women, while the y-axis tells if its either romantically or platonically. All this generally speaking.” The alcohol fogged his mind a bit, but Nick managed to picture it in his head while Hiroomi continued. “If I were to put a dot on where my preferences lie, it would be a bit towards the upper right, but not all the way. Do you get me?”
Nick stared at him for a moment.
“You mean to tell me you just drew a complicated mind map to tell me you usually prefer women but are open-minded towards your attraction to men?”
“Yeah,I guess it was a bit unnecessary.” Hiroomi seemed a bit flustered. “But at least you got, right?”
They both laughed.
