on the way to the picasso museum, we passed this happy little space. full of delightful vintage clothing, mostly for women. as much as i love h&m and zara there's one and a desigual on every corner here, so this was a welcome breather from the hoi polloi. that day i was exploring bcn as a tourist-in-crime as my friend was in town for a work trip but had only one day off to explore. he wasn't interested in shopping but i managed to pull him in for a few seconds. got to chatting to the beautiful and beguiling swedish owner, guiselle and she reminded me of what a difference it makes to your shopping experience when someone greets you with a smile, is helpful, knowledgeable & passionate about what they're selling. lets you shop without looking over your shoulder. & is interested in you. you just want to walk out with at least one purchase from their store and return. you want to pull out your hard-earned cash. one day i shall wander past again and invite her to a dinner party. visit leswingvintage.com.
