With every step that he took, a sharp throbbing pain would pierce through his lower abdomen, involuntarily causing him to clench his teeth tightly together. Sustaining injuries of all kind weren’t that big of a deal, but for it to be so serious that the soldier was actually staggering his way back? It was rare. He hadn’t quite expected to be ambushed by a rather big group of infected while on his regular hunting, because he was familiar with the terrain, and the area there used to be all clear. He supposed he could only blame it on his lack of luck that day. But yet here he was, still alive and breathing, so perhaps it still wasn’t that bad. 

The red stain on his shirt seemed to be spreading with every second, as he forced himself to move forward. It took every ounce of his strength to actually escape from the group of infected. By no means was he a weakling, but no matter how strong he was, it was a lone battle that already at serious disadvantage right from the start.

Hissing in pain, Jongkook wasn’t sure if he could make it all the way back to the Military district before he fainted due to loss of blood. And then he laughed at himself for thinking that way. He’s been through even worse injuries, this… this was nothing at all. It was impossible for him to die just like that. Unfortunately the Military district was just a tad too far away, and there was the possibility that his wound might get infected during the process if he tried to clean it without the proper equipment.

Gritting his teeth and enduring the pain, he made his way towards what used to be a building that had collapsed and only piles of rubble remained. He winced, and slid himself against the wall so that he was partially hidden from view. If only he still had his supplies with him, he wouldn’t be in such dire circumstance right now.
