Menus follow a similar aesthetic theme throughout the game, displaying information in slanted bars decorated with a simplistic image to reinforce the relevant information, i.e. keys to start a car, money to spend, cogs as a common association with configurations and handcuffs to imply the player is caught. With the addition of when a player hovers over an option the text will highlight in red to give visual feedback to their actions.
Sub menus such as in game pause will also follow this same convention.
The in game UI, continuing on visual reinforcement will display the player's progress on the upper section of the screen, where distance and collected currency will reside respectively.
The bottom section of the screen will be dedicated to abilities the player might of spend their currency on, the examples above illustrates a gradual resetting of a cool down timer on a ‘charge’ and nitro’ ability respectively.
