Demiurge of the Blackstone Fortress
Explorers who know where (and who) to ask can find a crew of wreckers cast out from the Leagues of Votann. These mavericks are trying to buy their redemption with salvaged technology and data from the Blackstone Fortress and her victims. What schism pushed these people to this end, in the Blackstone Fortress of all places is unknown. Their enigmatic need to hide their faces and propensity for atypical ornamentation hasn't gone unnoticed and seems to have begun since coming into contact with the fortress.
The most impatient of the kin is named Demiurge and he has a reputation for helping expeditions find better salvage, though curiously items seem to go missing. While this kin has not been trained or equipped for actual conflict, Demiurge seems to have reclaimed and repaired Votann equipment from the fortress itself. His modifications and aptitude seem to outstrip even seasoned duelists or war machines when large numbers of foes are at medium range - never seeming to miss a shot when firing into groups.
Demiurge's only interest is acquiring more materials for his kin to work with - but his expert's eye means that the components he recovers seem to be more useful. The complication in this is that Demiurge seems to lose archeotech on occasion - many suspect him of keeping it for his own needs. Overall this is considered a fair trade-off as he seems to hit a point where he's comfortably expending more of his handmade ammunition, digging deeper into broken fortress systems, and even breaking down salvage in the midst of combat or, seemingly, mid-stride.
As befitting a people cut off from their own already reclusive faction - the kin does not trade their technology with anyone. Even Demiurge's use of Votann's weaponry amongst outsiders makes the kin uncomfortable. Far from being averse to trade, however, the kin will barter equipment the explorers have lost interest in - strangely seeming to favour Rein & Raus to the same extent as Demiurge. Along with this, should explorers spend the time with the kin - expended or destroyed equipment can be repaired, also for a variable cost reflecting the original archeotech cost.
