Florida scores a 49.700 on beam on their way to winning their first SEC Championship since 2016. 49.700 is the highest beam score ever recorded at an SEC Championships, and ties the programme record.

Some rough thoughts on tonight:

I’m thrilled about Chiles and Thomas living up to their potential or getting really close. That’s the thing making me happiest tonight. 

I’m getting the definite impression Riley is a bad rehearsal/good performance person. 

I’m genuinely annoyed by Ragan’s beam score and want to see it broken down; I’ve said all I’m going to about her floor

I’m upset about Morgan’s floor, and I really hope she isn’t injured. 

Marz was awesome and does not get enough love. 

Carey’s got her work cut out for her proving that amanar and (less importantly) beam dismount were flukes and she can be relied on to hit

I hope Alyona can pull it together for Day 2; and 

I have all the love and respect in the world for Clapper refusing to come off beam.
