“If it’s anything like how my parents expect my life to go, I’ll be married and have five kids before I’m 21.” Leah rolls her eyes, Barnaby looking a bit frightened. “Andre’s a good one, definitely someone to talk too.” She grins. “Charlie’s like that too. But we bicker all the time. I guess it’s good to have that kind of support too”

Well, it’s not like her parents are here to judge her.

“Well that sounds boring.”

“Yeah, he’s great. Been there since the beginning of 4th Year and being an annoyance from then on.” She smiled a bit. “Yeah.”

“Well it’s a good thing you have your options though! I don’t even know what to do, if I even make it. Just want to enjoy the last few years at least.” Leah shrugs. “Andre looks so excited, it makes me excited to see you play”

“Same here. It’s been crazy.” Rebecca shrugged, “And he’s just excited because I’m his best friend.”

“Hey, if Andre says you’re good, you’ve gotta be freakin’ amazing. He sings praises for Charlie and he’s great too, that little shit.” Leah laughs at Rebecca covering Andre’s mouth. “It’s too bad Charlie wants to be a Dragonologist, he’d be a great professional player. Have you thought of playing professionally?” Leah grins up at Barnaby, who looks confused, as usual. “I’m just glad to have this giant by my side.”

Rebecca made a face. “True.”

She didn’t remove her hand though. Not when Andre is going to go on about the barrel role she did to get the bludger coming for their Seeker and swinging off halfway off her broom to smash it towards the Slytherin Chasers.

“Maybe but it’s just a hobby. I like flying and I’m thinking of doing something else. If my two careers don’t work out, then I might consider it.”

“Because you’re probably freakin’ great at it! With great experience too!” Leah grins. “That’s just awesome though, I’m gonna come to your next game. I dunno what position I’d be good at, I’d probably screw it all up haha.” “Like this one.” Leah nudges Barnaby again. “He’s probably the nicest slytherin I know, but his temper could change in a heartbeat.”

Rebecca shrugged but her ears were burning red. “I’m not that good.” Andre opened his mouth to protest, but she hurriedly slapped a hand over his mouth.

She smirked a bit. “You gotta watch out for the quiet ones, pretty much.”

“Ooh beater!” Leah says suddenly becoming very excited. “Those are the people who hit people with bludgers right?” She hops up and down a little. “That’s the best fucking part. How long have you played?” Barnaby places his hands on her again, clearly knowing how to deal with her mood swings. “Slytherins aren’t all too bad, my family isn’t the best example but most of them are, except for my siblings and me.”

“They prevent bludgers from hitting their teammates by hitting it to the members of the opposite team, yes,” Rebecca nodded. “I think I played since... 3rd year? Yeah, 3rd year, then I became captain a year later. God knows why.”

Rebecca shrugged. “My Family Are Slytherins. I just happen to be the exception. They’re grey so they’re not that bad.”

“See, I would’ve known that if I got out of my dorm more.” She laughs, raising her eyebrows at Andre. “I’ll only try out if he lets me. I have a feeling that I’d be horrible. What’s your position?” Leah grins, elbowing Barnaby as he agreed that she’d suck. “Merula’s a permanent pain in my arse.”

Rebecca laughed. “I’m a beater. And we never know until we try.” She smirked. “Unless even your boyfriend agrees with you, then I dunno.”

She nodded. “Definitely. Glad I didn’t end up in Slytherin even though the hat thought of putting me in that house.”

“Oh yeah, it’s the endless jabs at our outfits.” Leah giggles. “I might just try out for quidditch. Maybe I could redeem myself from being the “worst disappointment” if I knock a blusher towards Merula.” She says thoughtfully. “You know, quidditch doesn’t seem all that bad now.” Her smirk comes through again, as she devilishly looks at Barnaby. “You should try out too!”

“At least you don’t have to endure it everyday. I’m his best friend. I have to hear ‘That sweater is hideous. Wear something else’,” she teased, nudging Andre, who just rolled his eyes.

“Merula? I’ve heard of her. Kinda hard not to know her. Good idea. Maybe that will help keep her mouth shut.”

She smiled a bit. “Go ahead. I need another rival in the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.” She tapped a finger on her chest and smiled a bit wider. “You’re looking at the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team Captain.”

“Mine are the complete opposite. They try to control every aspect of my life.” Don’t think she can put up with it much longer. “I don’t know what drives me to care. Like I know what you’re saying is the truth, but I get so angry and I want to fight.” She nudges toward Andre. “I was told that quidditch might help with that.. but honestly, me and sports? Nope.” She giggles

“Mum liked to hide a lot of things from me.” She shrugged. But this isn’t about her. She smirked. “Quidditch is always what Dre wants to do. That and telling me my wardrobe sucks.”

“It’s true!” Andre protested.
