Leah Dawson is a force to be reckoned with, but not in the way you’d expect. She’s a real badass on the waves, a true talent with a guitar, and a deeply grounded and connected woman with herself and the earth. She’s an incredible athlete, humble, always learning, and brings the sunshine with her wherever she goes. She leaves this world better just by being who she is, and that’s one of many reasons why we love her.

"We have to be the stewards of change." Leah Dawson is so amazing. She came to Hood River last summer and as I was working a shift at dog river I couldn't quite place her and suddenly realized who it was (thank you instagram:https://www.instagram.com/leahloves/ ). In true cheesy fashion I asked, "You're a famous surfer right? I think I follow you on instagram." And she of course said yes, and I said that's cool and then I tried to not jump up and down and ask for a picture and if I could sit and have coffee with her and talk to her about all of her adventures (I will always be 17 in my head).

It's women like Leah, Liz Clark, Kari Castle and many more that keep me inspired and realizing that growth is constant and I can change the world.
