Getting started in a game of SUM8. This is an interesting 2-player abstract game that has you playing curved pieces that form a circle. Each piece has dice pips from 1 to 6 on each end and those values must equal 8 or match with the piece(s) directly adjacent. If you form a figure eight (two adjacent circles), you get a big bonus. Very interesting and very strategic. On your turn, you can move a piece that isn't locked on the board or place a piece. Variable board set-up and rules for harder games provides a ton of replay value. My only wish for this game is that it played with more players. And maybe that Sherri wasn't so good at it. SUM8 is an abstract strategy game for 2 players where players are placing these wonderful curved tiles with numbers on each end. When placing tiles, players must match the numbers on the connecting edges or the total of the connection must equal 8. Players get points for connections and bonus points if the complete an "8 shape" with the tile they place. Points are deducted at the end of the game for each piece you couldn't place.
