It's strange to no longer be in a cell. Strange to be given a second chance. Astra still hasn't forgiven herself for what she's done, and feels like she's not worthy of a second chance. Luckily, she and Alex had become friends, though Astra's spirit had long been broken. She's timid and scared, staying inside her apartment all day. Astra lay in bed awake and unmoving. Depressed and crying quietly into her pillow. She had left Alex's apartment to no longer be a burden to her, instead using an abandoned apartment that's brand new.

She's laying on the floor curled up. She didn't bother to get any furniture or food. Her cellphone remains unchecked of calls and messages. Why didn't they just kill her?

Astra and Alex have been dating for a year, and lately she's been withdrawn from Kara, and is too exhausted to even spend time with Alex.

She has been having nightmares at 3am on the dot every night since the beginning of the month. Now, on their one year anniversary she has cooked a nice dinner and gotten this 'terminator' movie that Kara says Alex loves so much.

She texts Alex asking if she's going to be off of work soon, and awaits for her to arrive home, trying her hardest to stay awake. Though just in case Alex isn't home soon she has written a letter that explained she had been having nightmares and had taken to sleeping in the guest bedroom because of them. There is a sound proof machine outside of the door so Alex wouldn't hear her screaming from the nightmares.

Though Astra doesn't want to sleep alone anymore, and ends up putting the DVD in but not playing it, waiting for Alex. She falls asleep sitting in a chair with her head on the kitchen island and her cellphone in her right hand.

Barry had been coming to the DEO to see everyone, including to hang out with Alex. But lately he's been entranced by a guy at the DEO and Barry can't help but smile when he sees him.

"Do you think he'd go out with me if I asked?"

"...Aunt Alex?" Her voice is hoarse, strained even. She's exhausted and had just woken up from surgery. "I'm thirsty."

Kate winces as she lay on her back, gasping for air as she stares at the ceiling. She manages to use the last of her strength to send a text to Alex. [Text]: S.O.S. Dying. Need help.

After hitting send, she passes out. Her left tibia is snapped in half, her right arm is broken, her right ankle is twisted, and she has three broken ribs. She doesn't know what happened but she suspects someone is trying to kill her.
