:) not to say that some of what they do isn't purposeful, of course it is, and yes I would love to believe the infamous 'you' scene is all that and a bag of chips but I look at most scenes skeptically when it comes to romance of any sort because any single moment can be interpreted differently by anyone
Absolutely - @leapingcat made the same observation:
I think to a large extent that people see what they want to see. They bring with them their baggage, history, issues and experiences which influences the way they see the world or in this case, this drama.
Absolutely true - and that’s what makes art of any kind so resonant, is that it’s made personal the moment you experience it. The storyteller tells their story the way they want to tell it, and we hear it through that baggage, history, experiences and also expectations that we carry with us. Which makes any personal interpretation by the audience valid.
Where I have a problem is people taking their personal interpretation and claiming that’s the teller’s intent, and that it’s the *only* interpretation that’s valid, when in many cases with t*lc it’s the complete opposite, and very clearly so.
