Here's an explanation of what I did in my STX Duel in order to bunch diamonds without stacking them (for faceoffs' sake). Long post ahead..... The head pictured is an STX Super Power U. I will say now: if you are going to try this with a Maverik head, or any other head with tiny holes in the middle, I suggest you string your whole sidewall with a thinner string. I used sidewall from @barrierlaxco for this tutorial. Finally, the pics are numbered, and they go clockwise, starting with 1 in the top left corner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. String a regular SI. Down through the back of the mesh, interlock, up through the face of the same diamond. Pull tightly, up toward the scoop first, then downward toward the throat. 2. Down through the back of the outermost diamond of the next 10d row. 3. Now go through the outside of the same hole used for the last si, and then, as over-simplifying as it sounds, complete a special interlock with the diamond you just went down through the back of. In the same way that you tightened the first si, pull tightly here as well. 4. Finished. 2 diamonds right next ti each other to form a pocket, but not stacked atop one another, so as to keep the pocket useful for faceoffs. If anyone knows the name for this, please let me know! -Josh #specialinterlock #lacrossestringing #stringingtutorial #lacrosse #lax #learn2string #spreadlove
