Aloha.

I've put my Japanese studies on hold to pursue Hawaiian.

As Hawaii is part of the US, I don't know why it isn't a language taught in schools alongside English; it's such a pretty language!!! Seriously underrated and lovely.

My ultimate goal with the language is to be able to sing along when watching Lilo & Stitch. :P (also to be able to hold a conversation with a native [kama'aina]. ((Look, I already learned a word!)))

Best Hawaiian salutation.  You also see it spelled out in emails too.  I like to think the Hawaiians started putting z's in words prior to Snoop.  Definitely catching myself saying it now and then, and am happy it's catching on.
