I hc the first couple times Klance starts to get intimate theyre always interuppted by things. Kissing- the alarm goes off, grinding- Hunk says its time for team bonding, Handjobs- Attack drills, Until one day Keith is literally about to FINALLY put his dick in Lance's ass, and they get interuppted yet again and theyre both like fuck the drills- fuck the galra- we're going to fuck

This is fuckin hilarious anon! Wanna know something funny in regards to this? 

I started writing fic when I was a minor. Mostly cute romantic stuff with a hint of comedy. But then I realized I really wanted to write naughty stuff. There were two problems with this— 

One, I had never had a sexual relationship with a peer of equal footing (It’s not a secret that I’m a CSA survivor and rape victim) so I felt like I couldn’t adequately write on a healthy sexual relationship of any kind. And Two, I was deathly scared that if I wrote anything sexual I’d get in super super fucking trouble with the law or something because I was a minor writing about sex. Like they’d send 16 year old me to jail because I wrote that a dick went into a vagina.

What does this have to do with your ask anon? Well, I would do shit like your ask in my fics to avoid writing anything too sexual to cover my poor naive ass. My characters would get interrupted doing anything from hand-holding, to kissing, to grinding in a bathroom. Then, once I was over 18 I was like AHA I can make them fuck now! And I did without feeling too terribly bad. (I still felt bad because it was bad writing but at least I wasn’t gonna go to fic writing jail in high school haha)

The good thing about doing that though, is I got good at the slow burn without realizing it. Oh they touched! But now they can’t for a while or they’ll be caught. OH they KISSED! But not more than that because they’re gonna be late! OHOHO they’re grinding but before anyone can get off, there’s a phone call. Then by the time they were fucking the readers were like THANK FUCKING GOD I’M DEAD. 

All in all, I love the constantly getting interrupted trope. It’s funny and it builds tension <3 Good stuff!

How do you know if you're Bi versus being Pan? Asking for a friend since you said you're Bi and you're husband is Pan and I didn't know there was a difference?

Well, a lot of people use the terms interchangeably so it comes down to which one you’re more comfortable with but…I can tell you why I identify as Bi as opposed to Pan.

My feelings for people are different depending on who they are. For lack of a better image or example…Guys make me go ‘Mmmhmmm’ and girls make me go ‘Ahhh~*’ and androgynous peeps make me go ‘Oh ho ho <3’. The feeling is different when I like girls versus guys versus nonbinary folk. 

It’s all still attraction but the feeling is distinctly different for each. I have a different emotional response to each of them because of their gender identity. 

My husband, who is Pan, tells me the reason he doesn’t identify as Bi is because the emotion doesn’t change for him when it comes to guys, gals, and the folk in between. It’s the same across the board and it sounds a little something like ‘HOT STUFF HOT STUFF’. 

He has the same response to all of them regardless of their gender identity. 

I guess that’s the only way I can really explain it for your friend. But when it comes right down to it, you choose the label that makes you feel most comfortable with. :D Hope that helps.

Why don't you write in past tense anymore?

When writing in the past tense it feels…uh…like everything is over already. Does that make sense? Like it takes the mystery out of whether things will change (or whether someone will die or not) because it’s written as if the story has already happened and this is the result. And it’s gotten really hard for me to write that way. I can still read stories like this but I prefer feeling like I’m living in that moment with the characters.

With present tense it feels like it’s happening RIGHT NOW and that things could change in an instant. Everything is moving ever forward. You know and learn what’s happening in the moment as if you’re right there watching it happen. 

I can still use past tense for things that occurred to the characters but for the main events the reader is experiencing them when the characters are and I feel like it makes it easier to feel what the characters are feeling. Guess it feels more visceral? I dunno. I also like that because the focus is on the NOW the reader can’t know what the future will bring and that adds an element of anticipation.

What other fandoms are you in? PS: I’ve only been a follower for a little while, but you’re writing is extraordinary and I have a shrine to it and you all set up in a corner of my mind skskskahd

I love so many fandoms! :D1) I’m a big fan of My Hero Academia. There are so many possibilities for pairings! <3 <3 <3 Of course, I would always write the characters as if they were in college or older as I’m not big on writing teenagers fucking. I mean, I know that teenagers engage in sex but I’m just not a fan of writing it then ending up with antis screaming at me for perceived pedophilia. 

2) I love me some Overwatch (so much potential for kinks all over the place in there!) And everyone there is an adult! No aging up necessary to fight off antis! <3

3) Dragon Age is always going to be a favorite of mine. I wrote so much Dragon Age fanfic that never made it to Ao3. It’s still like…sitting in my docs. It’s so old that when I look at it I don’t even recognize it as my writing as I was still writing in the past tense. I haven’t done that in SIX YEARS. 

But there are several fandoms that I haven’t written for but I do like–a lot! Enough that I’d definitely write for them if people were interested. :D 

I loved Haikyuu. Hell Girl was so much fun to watch because I love spooky things. Tokyo Ghoul is awesome. And Hannibal is one of my all-time favorite shows with lots of romantic subtext. I loved reading Far Cry 3 fic and Mass Effect fic but never tried writing for it. I wouldn’t be opposed to giving any fandom a try provided I have time to watch it.

You dont need to reply to this but I just scrolled past of your post where you metioned being a CSA survior and it just kinda made me hopeful because i am too and im still not to comfortable with the act of sex( but on paper its looks amazing) and I just makes me really happy seeing CSA surviors can reach the point where they are comfortable with their sexuality and can act on it,, anyways thanks for this new found hope!!! -🐞

It’s rough out there. All I can say is that don’t worry if you never get comfortable with having sex. Because of what happened to me (in two different circumstances with two different abusers) I was extremely averse to sex up until I turned twenty. I didn’t date. I didn’t kiss. And when I did try to date, I didn’t want to touch my partner anywhere and I didn’t want them to touch me either so things didn’t last long. 

Then when I was twenty, I came back from basic training feeling very low about myself. I had been kicked out for physical health reasons but I felt like shit. I had no self-esteem. I felt entirely worthless and I hated myself for being what I viewed as a failure. I didn’t think anyone would ever want me which made it very easy for someone to take advantage of my emotional state. I was essentially pressured into my first real time having sex by someone I trusted.

After that, I promised myself I would only ever have sex if I wanted it and when I felt ready for it. So, for the time being, I read romance novels and wrote fanfiction about things I’d want to do if I found the right person. My next romantic partner didn’t have much of a libido but he was willing to try new things and he never pushed me into doing anything I didn’t want to. So slowly I grew more and more comfortable with the most vanilla of sex.

Then college happened. I discovered my sexual identity and new friends. I learned about bondage and all sorts of kinks through Ao3 (because up to that point I was only reading fanfiction.net)  I discovered that sex could be fun and exciting and invigorating. It didn’t have to be scary and I didn’t have to do it at all if I didn’t feel like it. I tried all sorts of new stuff and found different kinks I liked which made sex even more fun. 

Then I met the man I ended up marrying. He found me beautiful and funny and sexy as hell and I fell in love with him. He was pretty kinky too and we found ourselves of the same mind when it came to a lot of things in and outside of the bedroom. I’ve been married almost six years now and I can honestly say, I’ve never been happier.

I’ll always have bad memories of the things that happened to me. And I’ll never forgive those monsters for how they held me back from loving other people all these years. But I’ve moved on from them. I don’t let them control how I enjoy life anymore. I’ve learned to love despite the damage they inflicted and they can’t take that away from me.

Your husband sounds so great!!! How long have you two been married?

Five years now, but we were together for about two years before that. We actually met nine years ago while playing Dnd. He was going through a divorce at the time and I was in a long distance relationship. He got divorced and not long after my boyfriend dumped me via text. (what an asshole right?) And like a gentleman, he waited a couple of months to give me time to adjust before asking me out on several dates all of which I thoroughly enjoyed <3 

He’s a cosplayer too actually :3 He frequently cosplays as Lance but his favorite Voltron character is Hunk.
