ALSO ALSO, i just saw your description and I'm DEFINITELY worse than you at French so please change my life lol (I'm done spamming you sorry)
hello 💖 today i spoke to a french woman who didn’t speak english and it was lit the most harrowing experience of my life so I’m not feeling the most qualified to answer this tbh? (langblrs that aren’t shit, please interact)
however, here are some of the best things i think you can do to learn:
❤keep a diary in french
❤alternatively, play those ask games on here but in french
❤win the lottery and run away to paris
❤watch loads of french films, or put on french audio and subtitles to a show you’d normally watch in english
❤try to find things you can do in that language that makes it an advantage over your native language (does that make sense??) for example, lots of people learn english as a second language because it makes using the internet a lot better. i really like french films so it’s motivation? and recently i was researching the french revolution and obviously french sites are soo much more helpful (all england/america care about is how it affected them, pathetic!)
❤record yourself speaking french and play back the suffering
❤see if you can translate anything your idly thinking about into french, it helps you become more natural, figure out vocab you’re lacking, and it gives a good ‘hmm i’m thinking’ face if you’re in a boring class.
bonne chance! time is the greatest healer 💖
