So I've been working on a crochet design for an octopus hat and came up with this--crocheting around hair curlers (which I found at the $ store) to allow the tentacles to be shaped as needed and I realized it has potential other project uses as well, so I figured I'd share. (Horns, branches, maybe ears or tail? Not just crochet but also sewing/costuming/costume design/cosplay?)

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Hey, Followers! (new and old :3) We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas (Hanukkah, etc...<3) and enjoy the holidays with your family and friends! What sort of Cosplay materials did you guys get for Christmas? I got a ton of Joann gift cards, pinking shears(omg yes), and a sewing box! Looking forward to using it all :)

Pretty soon Emi and I will be hardcore working on our ACen costumes. We've been doing a lot of planning, but it's time to start putting those plans into motion!  Remember, you can always submit tutorials, your own pages, your costumes, or even ask questions for us (or anyone else we might be able to find to help you out!)

Update on Giselle:

So my zipper freaked out about having too much fabric sewn into it. And the gathers got stuck when I attached them to the bodice.... I just seam ripped it all apart OTL OTL OTL

So there's your tip for the day: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS HAVE A SEAM RIPPER!

Patterns

It's for Emi's halloween costume! (if I have time I'll do Ariel's town dress since I've got a TON of blue fabric XD) I bought a pattern for a top and am going to lengthen it to make the skirt and then add on the sleeves! This is the pattern I'm using:   And we're going with the pink one in the upper right hand corner (aka E) Wish me luck! :)
