Peter Senge from the MIT talks about the leadership capacities as funded on 3 equally necessary pillars: CREATING, REFLECTIVE CONVERSATION, SEEING SYSTEMS.
When you address fundamental issues (through systems thinking) you have to deal with time horizon. And because the world around us move so fast, people in the organizations think they have to move fast.
In order to be effective in very fast moving environments, very surprising situations we have to know how to slow down. The faster the world moves, the more our AWARENESS is everything, ans to develop that awareness we need to LEARN HOW TO SLOW DOWN.
As a human being, we can actually control something, it takes a lifetime to develop this ability, but we can control our inner state.
So to grow as a leader, one must cultivate their INNER STATE.
