@learningtodie (gale) sent : ❛ a guardian angel. a spirit of comfort. spirit of any celestial sphere. anything. hear my call. ❜
the soft flutter of wings heralded his arrival, silver clad boots meeting the solid ground of the dream space in silent steps as he approached. a smiled pulled at his lips, which was becoming more and more difficult to school into stoic neutrality around the wizard. it wasn't becoming of a divine being to be so eager to answer the calls of a mortal; so the deities of higher station than he had reminded him constantly. the weight of that reminder covered him from head to toe in gleaming armor, softly clinking with his movements.
it was a dangerous thing to heed his call so brazenly, though. with the battles against the absolute in the very depths of their minds a constant background worry, ever taking their toll on him bit by bit, he hadn't much to spare in undivided attention. for gale, and the earnestness of his plea, he made the effort. for privacy's sake he walled off their consciousnesses from the other members of the party, whenever one of them sought him out in a dream, or when he came to them.
❝ you sound particularly pious today. ❞ for such a prayer he half expected to find him on his knees, and felt a small flush of relief that he hadn't. stopping near his side, just out of arm's length, wings and tails fluttered and swished respectively before settling into comfortable stillness. ❝ you know you need only think of me to call, ❞ and despite the amusement in his voice, a note of worry also. ❝ is everything alright? i've sensed naught amiss --- ❞ well, no more so than the usual perils anyways. catching himself in a moment of clarity, he stiffens slightly, almost sheepish.
❝ i... it was me you meant to summon, yes? ❞
