1 and 44? If you don't mind?
It’s absolutely fine! Thank you for sending ‘em!
1. Your first OC ever?
Once upon a time, there was a girl much like every other girl. Brandy Blaze was the daughter of Johnny Blaze. She was pretty, a friend to all children, with a nice singing voice and fire powers. Blackheart kidnapped her for some reason; I don’t remember why. She was a pretty big self-insert Mary Sue, and even though her story lasted for all of four chapters (and a few roleplays), she helped me grow as a writer. And this reminds me that I’ve yet to actually read the Ghost Rider comics – or see the second film. Shame on me for abandoning my roots.
44. Something you like about your OCs in general.
I like how diverse I tend to make my characters. Especially when I have time to experiment with the world and build on the lore; they become incredibly different from one another. I have delicate characters and strong characters and average characters, I have evil characters and good characters and characters that just don’t care, I have characters who are emotionally vulnerable and characters who are stoic and characters who are moody and characters who are selfish, I have characters of all different genders and orientations and religions and races. Some of them are ‘normal’, some of them have gone through many experiences. Some are naive and some are jaded. Many have disabilities that I’ve tried to research to the fullest extent – and I write characters with different disabilities (whether physical or mental) and different backgrounds and ways of life and personalities. I just love making my own little world of different people and playing with my ideas and thoughts and values and the things I might loathe through them, and in turn, having them introduce me to things I may not have otherwise thought about.
