Took advantage of the muddy and rainy day to go enjoy being alone at the dog park. I worked with saoirse to gain her confidence trusting me and climbing things.
She got very muddy and was very happy.
Since i havent been to this dog park in a while, i thought going when it is empty would be good, to re farmiliarize saoirse with the place. That way, she will feel safer when other dogs are added to the mix.
While my friend had her after my surgery. She went to the dog park where my friend lives all the time. It was good to have her in a setting removed from my own anxiety, socializing with other dogs. I need to not be so anxious going forward cause she picks up on it. But overall, she is doing so much better with other dogs as long as she is off leash.
On leash she still gets snappy... but it isnt as bad and... we will get there. Luckily she hasnt ever actually bit another dog, just gets pissy and barks at them. Still, needs work.
