Last night turned out to be really interesting. I met that guy from tinder for dinner and I was kind of mad at myself for breaking my cardinal rule of not having dinner when meeting someone for the first time. But although there was one point when I really wanted to leave he ended up being not that bad. After dinner it was still a bit too early to go out so we went back to where he was staying for the night and hung out for a little while. He wanted to go to the Lebowski bar first before hitting a club. While we were there he said we should try and meet some other people. He noticed 2 guys speaking English and he said we should talk to them and after about a minute of realizing he was too nervous to just start talking to them I jumped in and asked them where they were from and out of all 50 states - New Jersey. What are the odds? And one of the guys said his mom lives in the town over from me. They ended up being a group of 9, 4 couples and 1 guy. I ended up really connecting with the 1 guy and ditched the guy from tinder to go back to my place and chat with this guy for over an hour after talking all night at the bar and club we went to, before we went to sleep. All in all it was a pretty fun night but I'm kind of bummed this guy is leaving tomorrow and I'm hoping to see him again tonight.
One of my new favorite bars in Reykjavik, Iceland "Lebowski". Yes, it's named after the cult classic movie. They have the most welcoming sign outside the entrance (check out my movie clip to see)!
I'm a larger girl when it comes to beer, and the local "Gull" brand was yummy! They also serve food, and the jukebox works.
I can't wait to go back to Reykjavik, and visit Lebowski's.
