Captured near Lecompton, KS. These three exposures were blended with Photomatix and then brought into Photoshop and blended with the base exposure. Finishing touches were applied in Lightroom. Tech: Sony a6000 >.

Fort Titus

This small building, sitting on the edge of Lecompton, KS, was once a proslavery stronghold. It was used as a gathering point and defensive ground against the neighboring Free State men of Kansas. A battle ensued on August 16, 1856, and after Titus and his men surrendered, the small fort was put to the torch.

This Old Truck

This old truck sits outside a diner in Lecompton, KS. I often pass it on the way to my childcare provider and it has always seemed like an interesting subject. Unfortunately, I waited until it snowed to capture it, but a little processing magic has really brought out the grunginess of the truck.
