A Pond Outside of Imre...

I imagine this scene to be from the novel, 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss. Perhaps it is just outside of Imre, or maybe closer to the University. Or maybe, this is a little pond near the site of the Mauthen Farm massacre, where Kvothe and Denna camped out.

My daughter loves going to parks. Sometimes it seems as if her whole essence, or her very existence, is based on whether or not a park is in her very near future. If it were up to her, we would always be on our way to a park. They are her Terrapin Station. Here, she’s climbing up the steps to the big, twisty slide at the park in Wamego, KS. Her mother did not approve. Not at all.

When It Comes Crashing Down And It Hurts Inside

5th Annual Lawrence Downtown Shot Put Finishing in 8th place, Kurt Roberts does his best Hulk Hogan impersonation (not really, but thats what I thought of). Even though he finished last, he is still a winner. What a great event this was for downtown Lawrence. This was the most fun I had photographing in a long time; can’t wait until next year!
