ALBANIA
Albania has participated since 2004 and their songs usually have an incredibly characteristic sound. They like dramatic and/or epic vibes, sometimes mixed with folk or modern touches.
-Zemrën e lamë peng, Olta Boka (2008)
Imo one of the best examples of the Albanian Ballad to de moment: modern sounds plus local folk. Olta did a perfect performance. Plus the lyrics are in Albanian.
-Mall, Eugent Bushpepa (2018)
The pop-rockish Albanian entry example, singed in Albanian too. One of the better voices of that year, Eugen did it even better than the studio version.
-Neser Shkoj, Ledina Celo (2005)
The Albanian Midle of the 00’s entry and a good representative of these years in general. Maybe you can start to understand what Will Ferrel watched at that time. Now I dare you to not to move with the rhythm.
-Suus, Rona Nishliu (2012)
An Eurovision Classic. The woman wearing a nest on her head who sings so sadly and emotional in her language. Not my cup of tea but lot of people really like this one, and she got top 5, the bests Albanian result to de moment.
-I’m alive, Elhaida Dani (2015)
My personal fave Albanian entry. I really like this song and how it grows gradually.
Other interesting entries: 2016 Fairytale by Eneda Tarifa, 2019 Ktheju tokës by Jonida Maliqi (I really like this one) and 2020 Fall from the sky by Arilena Ara.
