“One.. two.. three.. four.. five…”
Gold frantically looked his head around, trying to find a good hiding spot. The living room obviously wouldn’t work due to Steven already counting there, facing the wall alongside Grey, who had smirked knowing that he’ll have some fun with the former Johto champion if he ever finds him first.
So now, the remaining spot were the rooms.
Realizing this, Gold floats over to his and Blake’s room through the door that was luckily already opened, entering inside before quickly going towards the bed. The red-eyed Unown then popped out of nowhere to lift the cover up for the living corpse to hide underneath.
Feeling the giggles bubble up in his chest as he heard Steven almost finishing counting, Gold tries to keep himself as quiet as possible.
“Ready or not, here we come~!”
A squeak had sounded from the child after hearing that sentence.
But all he had to do, was stay inside the comforter and wait.
Meanwhile, Grey and Steven were searching around the house for their little hiding friend, checking behind the couch, in the kitchen, etc. However, the results ended up being nothing on sight, not even a glimpse of hair.
“Why don’t we try.. y’know, checking the rooms?” The bootleg trainer suggested.
“Oh yeah, I haven’t really thought of that… sure, kiddo.” He leads the way before signaling Grey to check them first while he checks the bathroom.
Grey didn’t understand at first but then got the message and nodded, going into the room where Shinto was in.
Upon hearing the sounds of a door opening, the bootleg Pokémon immediately turned around knowing whoever it was entering.
“OH HI, GREY!!”
“…Hi, Shinto.” The bootleg kid greeted back in a voice that sounded like he was thinking ‘she’s gonna do something annoying any moment now’.
“You looking for something?? Shinto can go get it for you!!” The mischievous smile on her face says otherwise.
“Nah, I’m good. But thanks for trying to help, anyway.”
He walks over to give her a pat on the head before heading back to the door afterwards.
“You’re welcome!!” She happily exclaimed, watching as Grey exited the bedroom.
The living corpse was nearly struggling to keep his giggles trapped in as he hears the bootleg trainer talking to Shinto for a little bit from what he assumes. Sure, it’s getting hot under here, but he didn’t have much time to think of a good hiding place.
His breath hitched when a recognizable voice called out his name as somebody went in his room. “Oh, Goooold~!”
He completely went silent with a squiggly smile on his face. Gold expected Steven to come in here first, but out of all tickle monsters to do so, it was Grey instead. Knowing how much baby talk he’ll use, the dead child was desperate to keep still so he wouldn’t find out his hiding spot.
“Wheere arre youuu~?” The bootleg trainer slowly crept, his fingers wiggling. “You can’t hide forever~”
Gold accidentally lets out a few giggles before his eyes widened at the quick realization. God, why must Grey be so evil at a moment like this?
The boy turned to the small lump in the blanket upon hearing some noise, staring for a second. He then playfully grinned. “I think I hear someone~!” Grey walked up to the comforter.
(“No.. ohoh no, please!”) Gold begged in his thoughts, praying that he doesn’t pull the cover off.
…Nothing happened.
Did he change his mind? Or was he checking o-
The blanket was suddenly pulled up to reveal the bootleg trainer. “Found you~”
Grey grabbed the dead child and dragged him out of his spot. “Nononono-! Plehehease, nohoho!” Gold plead, trying to escape from his friend’s grasp. He really wished he wore on his jacket instead of staying in a white shirt.
“Nowhere to hide now, buddy! You know what that means~!” He sat on the bed before pulling up the former champion’s shirt, unveiling his stomach. Gold at least could hope that Steven is still busy trying to look for him.
“GreEHehey, plehehease-! Dohohon’t do ihihit!”
“Don’t do what? This?” His clawed hand hovered over his tickle spot, making the living corpse anticipate and kick his little ‘legs’. “YEHEhes, thAhat!”
“Well, if you say so!” The wiggling fingers now make contact with his stomach, scribbling at the flesh.
“NAHAHAHA-! Ihihi didn’t saHAHAy YOHOhou could- baHAHaHAA!” Gold couldn’t say anything else due to being too focused on the tickling feeling, but all he can do is just laugh and flail about.
The long-haired man approached the room, looking from the entrance to see the two. “Sounds like somebody’s having a good laugh.” He chuckled.
“I knew I’d find him first, so of course it does.” Grey began to rapidly squeeze Gold’s side, causing the living corpse to squeal before letting out childish giggles. Maybe he shouldn’t have hoped too soon.
Steven walks inside to sit down with the boys, looking down at the former Johto champion with a smirk. “You enjoying this so far?”
“MaHAHAke hiHIHIhim stAHAHAP-!” Gold exclaimed, falling into laughter again when the bootleg trainer blew a raspberry onto his stomach.
“Gimmie him, kiddo. Let the expert show you how to really get ‘im.” He held his hands out, awaiting the bootleg trainer to give him Gold.
Back before the incident, he and his brother used to have tickle fights with each other—Mike usually won because of his fingers moving from one spot to another every time the former champion tried to stop him, but Steven did win a few times by blowing raspberries on his neck. Nowadays, learning from his experience, he won more often, and hearing his big brother laugh again gave him serotonin.
Grey obliges and hands over the limbless child, watching Steven hold him up near his mouth.
“Now this is where the real fun begins.”
The former champion went straight to nibbling on Gold’s stomach, sending him to hysterics.
“BwAHAhaHA-! *hic* NAhaHAhAO, NAHAT THeHEHERE!” Gold’s eye sockets were closed shut as he cackled and hiccuped. He wasn’t expecting Steven to be eating up his worst spot, but with those sharp teeth, why wouldn’t he?
“Oh, but yes there~! You love it when ya get tickled there, don’tcha~? A-kitchiekitchiekitchie~!” He cooed, skittering at the back of the living corpse’s ear, turning him into a giggling mess.
“NOhOhohoho, dohohohon’t-!” His face became surrounded in a blush, trying to look away from Steven but only to end up having his neck quickly scratched by Grey, who just had to start making that ‘tktktktktk’ sound that gets him good.
“Alright, one last thing before we’re finished.” Steven readjusted the child’s position, now holding him under the arms whilst keeping the shirt lifted.
“Wahahait, *hic* WAHAIT-!”
He took a breath in before blowing a raspberry on his bare stomach, and right over his bellybutton too.
“WAhaHAHAhaHAA-! *hic* IHI GIHIVE UHUP, I *hic* GIHIHIVE UHUP!”
An Unown in the alphabetic shape of a letter W appeared out of thin air tapping on Steven’s shoulder. The long-haired man turned his head to it somehow not surprised by it suddenly showing up, nodding as he understood the signal before letting Gold catch his breath.
“You okay, Goldie?” Grey asked, a little worried if he and Steven had gone too far.
The child turned to the bootleg trainer before responding with a message from the red-eyed letters that spelled out ‘YES’. He then notices him holding his monochromatic hat that had fallen off from all the flailing he did. “..Is that my hat?”
Grey looked down at it. “Yeah, it fell off from your head while you were, y’know, being tickled.”
The boy started blushing again at the mentioned word. “Oh..” Then out of nowhere, something what felt like a different hat was placed over his hair and ahoge. He looked up at Steven and saw that the hat he was wearing had been taken off, however the shadow obscuring his eyes didn’t cease for some reason.
Gold now realizes…
“…Didn’t you say that I only get to wear your hat if I win?”
“Mhm. But I think I’ve changed my mind.” He gave the child a pat on the head. “You’ve still earned it, kiddo.”
Gold gleefully smiled and (sort of) embraced the former Kanto champion. “Thank you.”
Steven nearly jumps when Grey decided to join in the embracement. And with a soft smile on his face, he returned the favor to the two boys.
He still hopes that maybe someday—one way or another—his brother will finally achieve his revenge.
A/N: first time writing a tickle fanfic, ya’ll!! apologies if it looks bad or just sorta meh, but despite all that, i hope you still enjoy!
Summary: Gold begins to feel sorrow the more he thinks about seeing his mother again. Upon noticing this, the Unown attempt to cheer up the child, but they make a sudden discovery that might just work.
~
Gold’s eyeless sockets stared off into space as the group of Unown floated about. He couldn’t help but think how long he’s been staying in this grave for. It felt like years, but it’s been at least a month since his death.
Darkness surrounded him, and the only thing that made him feel less lonely were the chirping sounds of red-eyed Unown communicating with each other, a few of them glancing at Gold. He couldn’t tell if these were their shiny forms, not having seen a real one before.
And speaking of them, if he had listened to those signs of what they were trying to tell him when he entered the Bellsprout Tower, he wouldn’t have ended up limbless in the first place, yet curiosity had gotten the best of him. He should’ve realized what was wrong and left back home safe. Safe with…
“…Mom..”
Gold looked down as guilt rushed through him the moment he remembered his mother. He had almost forgotten about her, and this was all his fault. She must be feeling so sad back at her home, thinking she might be the worst mother ever.
He begins to reminisce about those calm times where she’d make him his favorite grilled cheese sandwiches, the time when he showed his newly-chosen Cyndaquil to her and how she was proud. All of the memories made him want to see her again, but there was no other way. He was stuck here, possibly forever.
What if Mom soon forgets about him like he never existed? What if she does something to hurt herself out of guilt? What if she-
A sudden noise snapped the child out of it, causing him to quickly turn his head around only to see an Unown in the alphabet shape of an A letter staring at him. He was deep in thought that he hadn’t noticed the groups of Unown looking at him with seemingly worry.
A tear ran down his face from his sockets. The red-eyed creatures began forming some words together, the sentence appearing with what he assumes to be them asking:
‘ARE YOU OKAY?’
“I…” He spoke, more black tears forming as he recieves a certain memory of his mother and him hugging. This broke him.
“I-I miss my mommy!” Gold yelled, bursting into tears. The Unown exchanged looks with each other, seeing the sight of a crying child in despair. One of them floated over to him before nuzzling against his shoulder as a way of comfort.
A few more decided to join in on comforting the boy, sounds of chirping emitting from them as if they were telling him everything would be alright. Gold’s sobbing quiets down as he notices the Pokèmon attempting to make him feel better. It seems to be working, but not so much.
“I miss mommy s-so much.. I wish I c-could see her again…” He stuttered. The Unown did love to play around with him like a puppet, but they weren’t always so torturous or heartless. They had a soul too.
Gold’s crying suddenly pauses with a hitch of breath as he flinched the second he felt a tingling sensation. His visible white pupils looked over to spot a W-shaped Unown near his neck.
The red-eyed group of alphabets stared with curiosity in their eyes for a while before a snicker disturbed the silence as the W-shaped Unown nuzzled against Gold’s neck again.
“Q-Quihit that!”
It stops with a surprised chirp. The group float away from the limbless child and huddle up, seemingly discussing about something. Gold becomes a little confused, tilting his head. What were they planning to do with him? Whatever it is, he hopes they haven’t changed back to their old torturous selves.
The Unown, now having finished with their unintelligible conversation, turn around to Gold before forming into a message. And what it turned out to be was… unexpected.
‘ARE YOU TICKLISH?’
A blush shows on his face upon seeing the question. Did they really ask him that? He sat there silent with the red-eyed Unown staring, patiently waiting for an answer.
“Mmmayybee…?” He answers with slight embarrassment.
The creatures exchanged looks before slowly approaching him creating another message.
‘LIES’
This one sounded somewhat more of a tease than a threat. Gold tries to back up but remembers he has no arms or legs. All he could do was flail his “arms” about, unaware of one of the Unown sneaking up behind him with the simple goal to go inside his jacket through the hood.
“N-No! I’m not lying! I-I’m not that ticklish, plus I think I’m feeling better noOHOHOW-!” Gold gets interrupted by the sudden feeling of what felt like a Spinarak crawling inside his clothing, squirming around while giggling. “Sstahahap! G-Gehehet outta thehere!”
The red-eyed Pokèmon from inside of the jacket chirped, brushing against the child’s sides as it scattered around. Gold tries to hold in his laughter, but to no avail.
“Pfftahaha! NaHAHAt thehere!” He (somehow) kicked his “legs”, trying to shake out whatever was in his clothing. One of the Unown from the spectating group floated over to participate in the tickle attack, nuzzling against the young champion’s neck, earning more giggles from him.
“WAHAIT-! Nohohot yohohou too!” He yelped, trying to scrunch up his shoulders to stop the Unown, but he hesitated since he was worried he might accidentally hurt it.
More from the floating group joined as they began going through the hood of his jacket, tickly sensations from the stomach catching Gold off guard which resulted in him falling over on his back, now laying on the ground laughing. All worries about his mother soon went away.
“Plehehehease, hahahAVE MEHEHERCY! BAHAHAHA!” The feeling of nuzzles suddenly turned into wiggling fingers skittering at his armpit. Whatever could be doing that, he assumes it might be the same W-shaped Unown that tickled his neck. “AHAHANYWHERE BUHUT THEHEEHRE!” He plead, shaking his head while giggling like the child he was.
Gold turns his head to the other side, and of course the Unown had to make this embarrassing message in case they got his attention.
‘TICKLE TICKLE’
He wished he had his arms back permanently just to hide the growing blush on his face.
“OHOHOHOH *hic* SHUSH, WIHIHIHILL *hic* YAHAHAHA!” He hiccuped, unable to speak whilst in hysterical laughter. The red-eyed Pokémon saw this as their cue to stop as to avoid going overboard, stopping their playful tickling before exiting out of the jacket to let him catch his breath.
Gold laid on the ground for a moment, glancing around at the letters surrounding him seeing if he was still alright. It didn’t take too long for the phantom tickles to cease before another group of Unown assisted in getting Gold back up.
Upon being pushed up from the ground, his hat falls off his head. The creatures take notice of this before picking it up, spelling out ‘HERE’.
“Thank you..” He thanked them as they carefully put the hat back on his head. The Unown happily chirped, now spelling ‘HUG?’ as an offer.
He nods with a smile, allowing the group to huddle around him as their own way of hugging him, one of them nuzzling his neck making him chuckle.
Gold may not have his mother around, but he’s at least fine with being accompanied by red-eyed letters that aren’t so soulless than he thought.
i’m finally back with more headcanons to share!! thinking about doing some mario madness ones, so i might get to that soon… AAANYWAYS

‼️NSFW DNI‼️
[ NON-TICKLE HCS ]
• gold can optionally have his limbs formed by the unowns, though they don’t appear too often since he won’t be needing them that much unless he’s trying to grab a sandwich or smth
• his birthday is the same date of when the lost silver creepypasta first existed
• best friends with blake!! both of them enjoy eating grilled cheese together
• but another thing that gold enjoys is basically stealing his hat like he does with everyone else, mainly tapping him on each of his shoulders, which easily distract him, before snatching the hat
• these bois may share braincells, but he at least attempts to make sure his friend doesn’t mess anything up and wreck havoc without noticing
• had been given a red bandana to wear as a friend gift…. he thought it suits him pretty well!
• he and blake are similar to each other (i guess both of them also having ahoges??), however they aren’t really the same. blake had the goal to someday defeat champion red after hearing about him, while gold had the goal to simply become a pokémon master

LEE
• A CORPSE BEING TICKLISH??? IMPOSSIBLE…. jk
• the unowns have a mind of their own, so they would sometimes tickle gold even for no reason at all
• some of them go for the neck to nuzzle against it, while the others sneak inside his jacket to target down his sides and such tickle spots
• if nearby during this, you’d be able to hear his child-like laughter mixed with giggles
• worst spots are his sides, stomach, armpits and neck. light tickles at said sides will make him immediately lose it
• “NOOHOHO! NAHA- *hiccup* NAHAHAT THEERE!” flails his arms around with no success of stopping the ler
• forgot to mention he occasionally hiccups
LER
• better stay cautious whenever gold starts feeling playful, because he can be a pretty good ler
• since he doesn’t have any limbs, he gives the lee raspberries and nibbles anytime he wants
• the unowns even help him wreck the lee with tickles, and this has happened to blake a couple of times
• his tickle monster energy rises the moment his unown limbs are formed
• straight up wiggles his claw fingers at the lee while asking if anything’s wrong or he’s scaring them
• HE VERY WELL KNOWS
• has wrecked silver a few times to cheer him up whenever he was having a bad mood
