Ahh, your event is so cute! Platonic relationships deserve lots of love! 🥰 Id it’s okay, may I have a 🖤 heart with Tendou and Semi? Thank you friend and happy Valentine’s Day! 🥰🥰🥰
Omg this request put me in such a ler Tendou mood! He's such a chaotic little oddball and he's so much fun to write for because of it! I don't really know Semi very well yet, but I did my best to familiarize myself with him atleast a little while I wrote this, so I hope he doesn't seem to out of character! Enjoy!^^
Should've Just Run
Ler: Tendou
Lee: Semi
"I don't think I like that look in your eye…"
Semi narrowed his eyes suspiciously at his red-haired teammate, who somehow still had the audacity to tilt his head innocently despite the devious grin that was very clearly spreading across his face as he approached him.
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about Semi Semi!" Tendou responded cheerfully as he wrapped an arm haphazardly around one of the blonde's shoulder. Semi tried to shrug him off, but the mischievous redhead merely tightened his grip, making him sigh exasperatedly.
"Hey, Semi Semi-"
"Don't call me that!"
"Right… Semi Semi, say, are you ticklish?"
Semi stiffened, having not expected such an odd question, especially since Tendou already knew that he was ticklish. Which could only mean… Semi's struggling suddenly picked up as he realized what his trickster of a teammate was up to, and he was really beginning to regret not running away while he had the chance.
"No! Tendou I know exactly what you're thinking! Don't you daAAHAHAHARE!! NO!!! GEHEHET OFF! HEHEHEY!!" Semi practically shrieked when his fellow third year suddenly started using his free hand to claw at his ribcage, using the other arm that was currently wrapped around his shoulder to keep him in place.
"Aww but why? Isn't this fun though? You've looked so grumpy all day! Why not laugh for a while huh?"
"Heh-H- How Abohohout no?!"
"Mmmm wrong answer!!"
Tendou chuckled deviously as he used his deadweight to drag his already laughter weakened teammate to the floor and straddled him, suddenly feeling very grateful that the two of them had been the last to leave the gym, because it gave him the perfect opportunity to mess around with his teammate a little!
The middleblocker continued to poke and prod all over the blonde's torso, humming a little tune as he tested out different spots and what kinds of reactions they earned him. He practically lit up when squeezing the setter's hips caused him to buck up with a panicked squeal.
"Ooh~ good spot huh?" He asked, honing on that cursed area as his teammate thrashed and squirmed beneath him, hands latching onto his wrists weakly as the poor guy vainly tried to shove him away.
"STAHAHAHAHHAP!! AHAHAHANYWHEHEHERE ELSE!! PLEHEHEASE!!" He begged, mirthful tears springing to his eyes as he kicked out to relieve some of the ticklish sensations that were coursing through his body.
"Not there? How about here then? Or here? Ooh! What about here?" Tendou continued to torture him mercilessly until his saving grace came in the form of a particular ravenhaired first year, who, judging by his disheveled hair and heavy breathing, seemed to have run all the way back.
"Oh, good," Goshiki said through his gasping breaths, as he walked over to the bench and picked up something, "You're still here. I just forgot my phone here and came to- Wait. What's going on? Hold on, Tendou-san why are you looking at me like that? Wait, no!!"
And just like that, the redhead was off again as he chased after their fleeing kouhai, who must have realized what was going on and made the decision to run while he still could.
Which is exactly what Semi should have done a long time ago...
I saw a head cannon that the shiratowiza 3rd years ganged up on semi once and wrecked him and there isn’t much lee semi content so can you do a fic featuring semi getting ganged up on by the shiratowiza 3rd years if that’s ok of course
Heyo anon! I've gotcha covered! I hadn't realized just how badly I've wanted to write for Lee!Semi until now, so this was really fun! I hope you like it!
“Good play, Shirabu!” Tendou called out to the first year, earning a bright grin.
Beside him, Semi smiled, though his own was slightly forced.
Shiratorizawa was currently in the middle of practice, running drills and working on sets. Shirabu was in his element, nailing each set with increased precision. Now with praise from his senpai, he really was giving it his all.
Semi tried to push down the jealousy in his chest. It was hard, watching a new setter rise up and take his place in most matches. Don’t get him wrong- Shirabu was good. Really good. It was just days like this that he couldn’t shake the feeling of being replaced.
“Semi-Semi! You’re looking rather scary today!” Tendou pointed out, his finger jabbing into Semi’s ribs and making the setter jump. “What’s wrong- is it Shirabu?” Damn that redhead! The setter always forgets just how perceptive he can be.
“It's nothing. I’m getting some air.” Semi turned to go before Tendou could pry more, passing Ushijima and Ohira on the way. The vice captain watched Semi disappear, brow furrowing with concern. “Is Semi alright? He seems kinda angry.”
“He’s a bit moody today.” Tendou offered up, eyes watching the younger players cheer over another successful point. “Can’t blame him. We’re all third years, watching the newbies grow to take our places when we’re gone. It’s amazing, but also painful at the same time.”
The other third years stood by, watching the first and second years along with the oddly sentimental redhead. It really was crazy to think they’d be gone soon. “He’s probably feeling it more than the rest of us.” Ushijima quietly noted, thinking of the missing setter. “We should help him somehow.”
As if waiting for his que, Tendou turned to the others, a mischievous grin on his lips. “Oh, I have an idea. Just what Semi-Semi needs.”

The rest of the practice passed by. Semi’s mood, however, stayed like a stubborn stain. His face remained a permanent grump expression, one he didn’t bother trying to hide as their practice match came to an end. As soon as the couch called it a day, he was out of the gym and changed into his day clothes, ready to walk home and forget about the day completely.
Of course, nothing ever goes as planned for Semi.
“Semi-Semi! Wait up!” Tendou had caught his arm before the setter could leave, a bright smile on his cheery face. “What’s the rush? Normally you stay awhile to help us practice our quicks!”
Semi sighed and attempted to pull his arm away, growing frustrated when Tendou tightened his grip. “Tendou, please. I’m really not in the mood today for this.”
“I know.” There was a sudden shift in the mood, Tendou’s teasing tone growing more serious. “You’re feeling it too, right? The fact we’ll be gone soon?”
Semi froze, no longer struggling to escape. Once again, Tendou comes out of nowhere with his eerily perception. “That’s not- I don’t-”
“You’re upset because when we’re gone, Shirabu will be taking your place, right?” Tendou’s voice was kind, even though his words cut deeply. “Don’t try to hide it- I can read Ushijima like a book. If I can read him, I can read you too.”
Semi didn’t turn back to the redhead, not trusting himself. “Tendou…” He tried again, pulling at his arm. Still, Tendou’s grip stayed firm. “Please. I really can’t-”
“Semi, it’s okay-”
“No, it’s not!” With a burst of strength, Semi ripped his arm free, whirling on the redhead with livid eyes. “You don’t get it! You and Ushijima-everyone gave it their all, and I could barely do anything!” His shoulders slumped, and he looked towards his feet in self-loathing. “I just- I’m just not needed around here anymore. I couldn’t widen the gap when it was my time during the tournament, and I failed the team.” He let out a shaky sigh and folded his hands behind his head, eyes dark with defeat. “I guess my time here had burned out well before my third year. I'm not needed here, anyway."
Tendou stared, eyes wide with shock. “What? Wait- hold on. Se- no, Eita. You really don’t think we don’t need you anymore, do you?” When Semi didn’t respond, Tendou walked up, grabbing his shoulders loosely. “Hey, look at me.” He commanded gently, meeting those miserable gray eyes with his own. “You are, and never were not needed. Don’t forget, we would have never made it to nationals before without you! And Shirabu? He wouldn’t be nearly as good without your guidance!”
The redhead grinned at him, though his eyes were soft. “I know you’re feeling like you’re being replaced, and maybe that’s true with the new match setups. But you’re never gonna be replaced in Shiratorizawa. There will always be a Semi-shaped space here within our team, even when we graduate and you’re long gone doing who knows what with your life.” That earned a small smile, and Tendou jerked his chin over his shoulder. “Right guys?”
Semi blinked when Ushijima and Ohira appeared with kind expressions on their faces. “Of course! Without Semi, who’d keep us up to date with the latest bands and musicians? Or serenade us with his pregame singing?” Ohira grinned, eyes alight with mischief when the setter blushed. “True. We also wouldn’t have someone to argue with over questionable fashion choices! I mean seriously, Semi- what was that jacket?” Tendo added, curious to see just how red they could make their setter.
“Or threaten to stab someone with his chopsticks when they threaten to take his Tekka Maki.” Ushijima quietly added, poker faced, but amusement flashing in his eyes.
“Okay! Okay! I get it!” Semi exclaimed, trying to subtly hide his burning face as his teammates laughed. “Thanks, you guys. Sorry I snapped at you, Tendou. I know you only meant well.” The redhead smiled, understanding across his face, along with a hint of mischief. “I don’t know…you were pretty mean to me…” He teased, eyes meeting Ushijima’s from across the room. “I guess I can forgive you- but only after I make sure you really mean it!”
Before Semi could ask what he meant, two strong arms looked into his, pulling him back against a broad chest. “Whoa! Wait! Wakatoshi?” He tried to look back at the taller man, unable to break free. “Sorry Eita. This is for your own good.” Ushijima spoke gravely, as if he was about to send Semi off to jail.
Realizing his fate, he turned his wide eyes to Ohira and Tendou, watching them close in. “Wait! Wahhahahit! No! Dohohohn’t you dare!” He was giggling already, giving his best puppy eyes to Ohira. “Reon! Please! Help me!” To his dismay, the wing spiker only shook his head, raising wiggling fingers. “Sorry, Semi. It has to happen!”
“Traitohhohooohoohohohohohor!” The setter barely had any time to react before Tendou’s hands found his waist, fingers squeezing along the base of his ribs. Semi arched with a yelp, throwing his head back with a burst of laughter. “Gahahhahahhahahahha! Teheehehehehehehheehdouuhuhuhuhuou!”
“Oooh, good spot, Tendou!” Ohira grinned as he walked over, Tendou’s fingers flying over the setter’s waist and ribs a mile a minute. “Though I know where to go to make him scream.”
“Nohohohoohoho! Nohohooho! Reehehehehheon! Stahhahahahhay BAHAHAHAHHAHAHCK!” Semi jerked with a loud squeal as Ohira drilled into his hips, thumbs making small circles into the clothed skin. The setter jerked and wiggled, cackles and laughter flying from his lips in bright, childish sounds. “GAHAHHAAHAHA! OHHOHHOHOOHOHOOIRA! TEHHEHEHEHEHEDOU! STAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAP! His cheeks were bright pink, eyes growing misty with mirth. Through all this, Ushijima’s grip never loosened. The captain laughed softly along with the shorter man, greatly amused. “There’s that smile. We missed it while you were brooding away.”
Eventually, after the setter was as red as Tendou’s hair and breathless, the trio let him go. Semi sank to the floor, arms wrapped around his waist tightly as he gasped for breath. “Hehe...ehehehe...heh...Y-you three are the w-worst!” He got out, making them laugh. Tendou kneeled beside him, ruffling his ash blonde hair. “Maybe, but you’re one of us! That makes you the worst too!”
Ohira laughed and also kneeled down, squeezing Semi’s shoulder comfortingly. “Tendou’s right. You’re one of us. And that’s never gonna change.” Ushijima nodded in silent agreement, offering a hand. “Do you feel better now, Eita?”
