last time i went to the hospital was for throwing up blood and the nurse asked me what i'd eaten the day before and i was like well i had my unholy brew and she asked what that is and i explained that i take a 16oz can of coke and a 16oz can of pepsi and mix them in a 32oz bottle and call it my unholy brew and she took a second, looked at me perplexed, and asked, "why do you do that?"

One of my favorite things about loving someone or developing a closeness or fondness towards someone is also loving and developing a fondness for the things they care about. When you learn to see the world in a new way, or you learn to appreciate the things you’ve previously overlooked, or they become your excuse to get into an interest you always thought was cool but thought you didn’t have time for. When a connection makes your world bigger and warmer and fuller and more beautiful.

Technically five hands and five legs at the same time, but Grace doesn't need to know that.
Imagine if a like 8 foot tall guy that looked kinda like an alien species just kinda showed up at the house you rent a room in and crashed on the couch and at first everyone hated him but you kinda just accepted this weird massive kinda-human alien species thing as a part of your group even though he's like twice the size of everyone else there
Cuz that's literally happening to sea lions in San Francisco right now
So there's two species of sea lion in North America: the California sea lion, ranging along California (including Baja) but not ranging into the north coast or into oregon
And the Stellar's sea lion, which are WAY bigger and live in Washington, British Columbia, and Alaska
A male Stellars sea lion showed up in SF like a month ago and just kinda. Didn't know what to do, and joined a colony of California sea lions, and is just kinda chilling there now.
Weird vagrant species happen from time to time, but this is just a particularly funny instance of a highly social species getting very lost, and just trying to blend in with its closest nearby relatives

Grace goes swimming! Rocky is not thrilled.
Eridians cant "hold their breath" like humans do, their vents dont close completly so water can still get in, if they fall in water they drown and die. safe to say rocky is not a fan of when grace does it for fun xD

k but imagine Rocky wanting to learn about how humans became the apex predators of their planet so he has Grace “hunt” him in the biodome as an experiment and during it he thinks Grace isn’t trying or taking it seriously which is bad bad bad because this is for research purposes
only for Rocky to get more and more tired as the experiment goes on just to realize that Grace isn’t which makes him panic so he puts as much distance as he can between them and finds a (hopefully) safe spot to sleep and when he wakes up the human is crouching over him like “got youuu” and Rocky has never shrieked so damn loud before in his life

I see your "Rocky is surprised and amazed by the concept of dreams/dreaming" (because Eridians are completely knocked out when they sleep and don't dream) and raise you "Rocky is appalled and distressed by all the other things humans do in their sleep".
What do you mean you move around when sleeping (tossing and turning, SLEEPWALKING)?
What do you MEAN you make noises (snoring, talking in your sleep)??
You're telling me you do all these things which give away your position to potential predators when you are at your most vulnerable (you guys have all the hard parts on the inside of your body and all the squishy, soft parts which can be easily damaged on the outside, like, be so for real!) and you never created a culture in which you have someone else watch and protect you during that time??? How did you manage to become the dominant species on your planet???
And Grace is like "In some countries on my planet people leave their sleeping babies outside unsupervised while going into a nearby restaurant to eat together, and they are perfectly safe." which probably results in slightly horrified screeching from Rocky.
