My best friend told me I'm giving Lee Holloway vibes with this outfit. If only I had a photo without the blazer ugh! Do you agree or nah?

The two pictures at the top are from @undeadliz and the collage at the bottom is from @helloramses . I wanted to combine the collages together and this is what I came up with.
Lee Halloway
Day 98
I think I like Lee so much because I like her so much as a person, struggling through life, barely awake it seems to what’s going on around her. And when she gets a job as secretary to James Spader’s character, Edward, she starts to wake up a little, at his urging anyway. And yes, this is indeed a movie with some BDSM overtones, but I read it as more of a, not a background element, it’s definitely more than that, but as more of a secondary trait. I watch this movie not even really for the few erotic scenes, and they’re not very explicit, but because I enjoy watching Lee go from this very timid woman with self-harm tendencies to a woman who storms into the man she loves’ office, and looks him right in the eye while finally telling him what she wants.
Something else that I like is that she likes their relationship. I really don’t want to make comparisons to that other movie that is clearly ripping off Secretary, but goddamn, watching the two back to back (which my girlfriend and I did because she hadn’t seen Secretary, and we hadn’t seen the other movie, but mostly because we were kinda tipsy), but to go from watching a movie that has BDSM undertones with a woman who is very into the relationship she has, to watching a movie that was only two hours long but made me feel like I was in the midst of two year long abusive relationship where the main character who was not into the BDSM overtones, was like a slap in the face.
Because after the initial, infamous spanking scene, Lee wants it again and again, and while Edward does too, even then, the entire time he is very clearly uncomfortable with what he wants when he’s not doing it. And what I love is that Edward probably never took the time to research what he was feeling and desiring, more than likely because he’s so disgusted by it, but Lee does. She recognizes that she likes being submissive to him, and there’s a scene of her at a diner, listening to an audio book on the subject, and she even tries different situations with other people when Edward finally breaks it off. And even when he tries to fire her, she’s standing up to him the entire time, he’s trying to hurt her to make her leave, and she’s easily deflecting the things he says, until it does become too much and she leaves. She’s stronger, but this feels realistic, for the setting it was being placed in.
And, god, that scene where she’s trying on a wedding dress and realizes that she doesn’t want to marry the guy she’s very much not into, so she tears ass across town in the dress, barges into Edward’s office while he’s doing, like, sit-ups, and tells him that she’s not leaving, because she know’s how he feels for her, and that she feels the same way, not backing down this time and for once in her life knowing what she wants and is not afraid to get it. This scene is honestly one of my favorites, because thanks to the performances of the actors, this actually makes it ring true. I’m watching two people with an incredible amount of chemistry not going over the top with how they feel, but it is still clear, instead of, you know, the other movie.
Lee really is one of my favorite heroines, and I’m kinda ashamed it took me this long to get to her. She feels like a real person, going through things, until she finds something and someone she really loves. And the sweet ending with her and Edward makes me coo every time.
The Secretary soundtrack is so fucking good especially I'm Your Man I listen to that shit on repeat
