okay here's my orv omegaverse allignments

yoo joonghyuk: dominant alpha. i love omega yjh as much as anyone but i had to put him here simply due to his pure protagonist energy. he's an educated & respectful king tho. especially considering he was with an omega (lee seolhwa). i don't think he even bats an eye at other people's classifications tbh. if he thinks they're a threat, they're a threat

jung heewon: absolutely alpha tier. her protective instincts are too strong for me to dismiss as beta or omega. she'll defend her pack with her life

kyrgios rodgraim: i was kind of stuck with this one but i landed on recessive alpha. he gives me alpha energy but like not in a dominant way yk. i fear he's prolly not that educated on other classifications. (he was also written by asuka ren & i think she'd 100% make him an alpha)

han sooyoung: beta and very proud of it. prolly the type to make jokes about betas & them specifically being the best secondary gender. rounds out the trio (hsy, kdj, yjh)

lee jihye: beta who reads a lot of a/o. she thinks it's so romantic

kim dokja: recessive omega. he's 100% an omega to me, truly the people's princess. he's been discriminated against for it, especially in school, and views his classification as a weakness. him being recessive makes the most sense to me

lee hyunsung: i will stand by this that man is an OMEGA. he might be tall and strong but the omega energy radiating off of this dude is just simply undeniable. he also bonds very easily with kdj early on bcz they're both omegas. i think he's recessive as well

lee sookyoung: recessive omega, like her son. being an omega factored into the abuse she suffered with kdj's father and a lot of the treatment she received from other people. resents her classification a bit but has come to terms with it more than kdj

yoo sangah: i considered putting her in beta but i felt like omega made more sense, considering ysa's whole "too good to be true" demeanor. her being the "ideal omega" made the most sense. i think this was also a factor for how much harassment she was subjected to at her work place & a lot of the misogyny she deals with. feels comfortable around kdj partly due to them both being omegas

lee seolhwa: twsa was a very cliche novel. lee seolhwa is a dominant omega, yjh is a dominant alpha... it makes sense. kdj shipped seolhyuk SO hard, they were actually his otp. (he probably projected onto lee seolhwa too)

han myungoh: okay i know he was only impregnated due to the dark keeper, but this man literally gave birth, it would be a crime against humanity if i didn't put him in omega tier. i stand by this

Got into a ORV characters reacting to ORV fic titled Hidden Scenario - [Dramatis Personae] recently, wanted to make some fanart for it and to try out that twitter art trend I kept seeing a while back while I was at it.

I don't see enough meta about Kim Dokja and Lee Sookyoung's relationship. I also haven't seen any posts or fics that seem to share my own interpretation on why Kim Dokja resents his mother.

Yes, he resents her for writing that book but there's more to it. And he has never resented her because she murdered his father or because he failed to understand how hard it was to be a wife and mother in an abusive relationship.

He may have resented her for killing his father but only because that choice resulted in her leaving him. He resents her because she left him, both physically and emotionally. When he would visit her, she never spoke to him. She stopped talking to him. As Kim Dokja said, if she had only told him to endure, then he would have endured. Instead, she said nothing. She built a wall between them.

That's why, when the Fourth Wall told his mother's story, Kim Dokja cries that he wanted to hear it from her own mouth.

Their relationship doesn't start to mend because Kim Dokja finally understands her sacrifice. From Kim Dokja's perspective, choosing to kill his father who was abusing them both was also a sacrifice made for his sake.

No, why their relationship starts to mend is because, with the truth out, Lee Sookyoung has no secret to keep from Kim Dokja anymore. She's finally talking to him and being honest with him. Her walls have been broken down.

That's all Kim Dokja ever wanted. He wanted to be let in, to have the close relationship he used to have with his mother, that camaraderie. He wanted to understand her but she refused to let him in. He was only left with speculation, and that speculation didn't do her any favors.

He could only assume she wrote the book for money. It's the only thing that made sense to him with the information he had and his understanding of the world. But with the truth out, he now knows she wrote it so that she could solidify her lie and her motive.

And when Lee Sookyoung criticizes Dokja for living in a fantasy world, she is also talking about herself. She has spent years of her life living inside a fictional novel: The Underground Killer.

i had to take a class on animal behavior over the summer, and the only way i could bear it was if i related everything to orv. oh, hyenas learn to hunt from their mothers? sounds like the kids being raised by kim dokja. red squirrel mothers willingly abandon their homes when they get old, just to make sure their child inherits it? sounds like lee sookyoung! some animals try very hard to make themselves seem like they're "not worth the chase" to their predators? sounds like kim dokja again!

class got a lot more interesting after that!!
