Eg.gsy hc;;

Michelle chose to name Eg.gsy Gary after Lee’s deceased brother but try as he might Lee was never entirely comfortable with it. In the beginning, Lee would avoid using his name entirely, opting instead to call him nicknames like ‘prince’ and ‘hero’. This lasted until Eg.gsy was being switched to solid foods. While not a uniquely fussy eater as a kid they struggled to get him to eat his eggs. With meat being more expensive they tended to eat a lot of eggs in their house and were worried that Eg.gsy wasn’t getting the protein he needed. 

After weeks of trying every style of egg imaginable Lee finally managed to get Eg.gsy to eat eggs in a basket, but in the time it had taken Lee had taken to calling Eg.gsy ‘Eg.gsy’ in a form of gentle teasing, hoping it would make his son warm to the idea of eggs. 

It never stopped after that, since Lee didn’t like to say Gary and Eg.gsy never asked him to stop.

When Lee and Michelle first got together he simply moved in with her. He didn’t have many possessions so all her furniture just became theirs including her small, twin sized bed. 

He would always joke that it was an idea size since it gave him an excuse to touch her but when she got pregnant it became something of a problem. Once she started showing sharing a bed became harder and harder and eventually, Lee took to sleeping on the ground beside her bed.

He could have taken the couch but insisted on the floor in case Michelle needed anything in the middle of the night.

Lee was a smoker, averaging a half pack a day before Eggsy was born. When Michelle told him that she was pregnant he took it on himself to quit. Opting to go cold turkey he walked to the nearest library, took out as many books on babies as he could and then quarantined himself in their room.

Shortly after Lee moved in Dean tried to get back together with Michelle. Not taking kindly to Dean putting the moves on his girlfriend he ended up getting in Dean’s face. It was something of a mistake. Lee was shorter than Dean, lighter and had less experience fighting. 

Dean kicked the shit out of him. 

The second time they met was after Michelle announced that she was pregnant, while he was finishing up his combat training. Doing his best to diffuse the fight Lee let Dean’s heckling roll off his shoulders until one of his barbs was directed at Michelle. Despite her not being there at all Lee still felt compelled to fight for her. Even he would admit this was a mistake. 

Lee put Dean in the hospital, left part of his face with permanent scars which now blend in with his freckles better than they used to. Dean didn’t report the fight because he knew that he had enough going on that inviting the cops closer would be ill advised. For that Lee was grateful. If his CO had found out he may have gotten discharged before he even saw service. 

Playing his own black eye off as a training scuffle he assured Michelle that he was fine, but when she heard about Dean she couldn’t help but wonder if Lee was involved.

Michelle actually knew Dean first, having briefly dated him in school. He wasn’t abusive at the time, just controlling and rude. She left him not too long before she met Lee.

Even at the time Lee and Dean didn’t get along.

If someone messed up while cooking but didn’t notice Lee would literally never tell them. He eats it and feigns enjoyment. 

He has a stomach of iron.
