I had an idea of a starving Miniel encountering a terrified orphan child. The child watched her parents get their life drained from them in an instant after getting jumped by a flock of ravenous angels. Miniel first tries to rationalize with the traumatized child that Feeding will make them happy forever and asks them not to cry... but their tears eventually overwhelm her with remorse and shame. She even tries transforming in an attempt to have her angelic form soothe/ strike the kid with awe like it normally does to humans who are exposed to her...but the kid just curls up into a ball and sobs even harder as they shield their eyes from her light. Her face crumples and she gently rests her trembling ethereal hands on the kid and soothingly strokes at their aura while they sob. Still trying to console the kid. The kid begins hysterically wailing at her angelic touch and begs her not to consume her soul. Miniel finally breaks, shifting back to human form and slowly leaning down and wrapping the child up in her arms. The kid is pressed so tight to her chest that she can hear Miniel's heart pounding. She reassures the kid that she won't feed from them and apologizes for scaring them. The kid isn't really convinced, but she's much too weak from physical/emotional exhaustion, dehydration, and starvation to run or seriously fight Miniel's grip.
Eris has been closely following and observing this child, as she is greatly attracted to familial tragedy. Seeing Miniel go against her nature and take pity on the child convinces Eris to later approach Miniel with the invitation to join her "family".
