Lee comes back from Heaven when it's already dark outside. He's not even very drunk as this time he didn't try to pour as much beer as he could. He doesn't forget to leave a bottle of good maple syrup under Obie's pillow like a tooth fairy, before returning to the Envy Ring.
He's home! But he doesn't show show himself right away. He grabs some flowers out of one of the random vase and tracks Adina to see what she's doing.

Adina hadn’t been doing much aside from worrying and thinking over what Vienna had said. She felt guilty as felt the vial in her hand, but she had to know if Lee was genuine in her feelings for her. Surely she was, if she stayed with her after all this time. But there was always that off-chance she couldn’t bear to consider.
She hides the vial as she hears movement and turns to see Lee.
