I'm heading to Fan Expo tomorrow and I'm so excited to just,, get as much merch and make as many friends as I possibly can (uncertain of that last one, because I am very socially awkward)
I'm prepared. I've got an earnest living I'm willing to spend on a little. I'm gonna haul lots of merch and business cards. Gonna meet so many cool cosplays and enjoy myself in the sea of artists that is Fan Expo. I'm super excited
I don't know about y'all, but I'm gonna have a wild time tomorrow for sure LOL
My brain is in a "epically animating my characters in epic action sequences to songs I believe match their storyline" kind of mood, but my body is in a "lie down and do absolutely nothing but watch video essays about obscure topics for seven hours" kind of mood

I'm away from the internet for not even a month and I hear "Twitter" may or may not have the block feature removed??
What a shame, that platform really was a good place for artists around the world to connect with other people- but I suppose the guy running it doesn't take too lightly to people who aren't praising his every decision. Big yikes.
If the block feature is announced as a part of the next update, I am seriously not gonna post there anymore. I'll be active here! And in Threads/Bluesky as well! Hopefully TikTok too (I'm not sure what I'd post there, but let's see hmm)

After Twitter went down, I think I just started posting less and less on every platform
Social media's definitely made me half dependent on love and gratitude, based on the amount of interaction I get on a drawing- but now, I'm just creating stuff just because I enjoy it, or just because I enjoy working with other people
Don't get me wrong though. I've got SO much new art. I just don't have any sort of motivation to post it, at least anywhere outside of friends discord servers? Or see how many people like my art today? If that makes sense?
In a way that's both great, for myself, but not so great for building some sort of public identity for myself.
