(For m!a) Sight! Whichever muse mun chooses is blind for five days.
M!A: Muse is blind for five days
Even if it causes grief to your beloved
I’ll make your wish come true
I’ll steal your light from you
And leave you to the darkness you so desire
The darkness that will shield you from what you are afraid of
Benji shifts his position, trying to make himself more comfortable as his bed makes an audible creak. The noise does not bother Aiden, sleeping above him in the top bunk, if his continuous stream of snores are any indication. Benji opens an eye to peek around, only to be greeted with darkness. Nothing he would worry about. It was probably in the middle of the night, and Benji liked having a room bathed in darkness when he slept. He was a pretty light sleeper, so any unfamiliar noise or sudden source of light would wake him.
Benji does wonder just what it was that had stirred him awake. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. The rain was falling just as heavy as it was before, and Aiden was snoring as usual. He couldn’t even remember what he was previously dreaming of before. Nothing out of the ordinary. A shrug, and Benji brought his blanket to cover the rest of his body, nestling into his pillow as he drifted back to sleep.
It was the sound of rustling and muffled conversation that woke Benji again, and the dark haired male sat up with a yawn. The room was just as dark as before, however the rain had lessened considerably, this time nothing more than a light shower. Benji frowned, wondering who was making so much fuss so late at night. Then again, there wasn’t exactly a distinct time where Po Town was ever exactly quiet. All occupants had their own patterned sleeping schedules, some being extreme night owls. He fell back, letting his head hit his pillow as he closed his eyes. It should have occurred to him that he no longer heard Aiden snoring above him, but he decided to take advantage of the apparent late night to get in more sleep.
The sound of chirping and the increase and noise finally stirred him awake once more, knowing full well at this point all of his roommates were up and about. He figured it was time to get out of bed…Benji opened his eyes, intent on reaching for his necklace as he usually did, having it rest beside the small night stand next to the bunk beds…Only to be greeted with the same darkness as before.
Benji sat up quickly, rubbing his eyes before glancing about. Darkness to the left, darkness to the right. He closed his eyes tightly before opening them, only to be greeted with the same thing. He repeated his actions, trying to find some way to rid himself of the darkness around him. When he opened his eyes after the fifth try, Benji finally understood two things.
Night time had been long gone…
And that he could no longer see the light of day.
