🍺🍺🍺¾❌ • Left Field Brewery Whip - Peach Cobbler Smoothie IPA ABV:5.5% IBU:40 • This one starts out with a citric concoction of lemon and peach, that provides a tart and fizzy mouthfeel. A vanilla lactose introduces itself in the mid-sip, that smooths the feel of this beer out. The peach comes back into play towards the finish and is rounded off with a spiciness provided by the cinnamon and brown sugar. @leftfieldbrewery #leftfieldbrewery • I’m feeling bubbly as the packing and cleaning continues. Turns out bubble wrap makes a decent photo backdrop • This one lands in the desert beer category. 🍺🍺🍺🍺❌ • Left Field Brewery Big Train Zero IBU IPA ABV:6.1% IBU:0 • This one begins with cloudy and murky wheat malts that provide a creamy mouthfeel. Citric and tropical flavours of pineapple, papaya and grapefruit join in at the mid-sip. I’m picking up a slight hoppy note of pine that quickly disappears and leaves a very faint bitterness. The conclusion consists of more of the refreshing papaya juiciness. @leftfieldbrewery #leftfieldbrewery • This unique style lead me into a little research. Turns out that the so called “Zero IBU” is achieved by only adding the hops post boil. The reason I say so called, is due to the fact there are several ways of measuring IBU ratings. The one that backs this style’s claim, is called the tinseth formula, which gives no IBU rating for hops added post boil • You instantly pick up a bold hops aroma without the typical hops bitterness in the taste.
