Cosmere Fandom Intro Post

Here is what I'm thinking of putting before the link on Friday night.

So your thinking of joining the cosmere chat, here's a little primer on whats what in our little community.

Respect is a big deal here. We may not all agree with each other, but we do strive to respect each other.

We are mostly a literary analysis type community, theories are great but that isn't exactly how we roll around here.

I'm tagging y'all because I want you guys to comment, to edit, to add. I want this to represent us, not just my views of us. If I didn't tag you I apologize, I didn't mean to leave anyone out.

Thank you fruity. Things have gotten better, thank goodness. I do have a plan to sell my masks though! Which is really exciting. And you know what I have a story for you.

This is before I knew you, but it is relevant. I was sitting in a show M designed. The show was triggering enough, it was a retelling of the story of Job. But I sat there and I thought to myself, "You know what M doesn't have people all over the world rooting for her. She doesn't have an Ayesha, or a Justine." And she certainly doesn't have a Fruity or a Joe. She doesn't have any of you guys rooting for her. And you know what I am so so lucky to have you all.

I think it is a conspiracy that both Fruity and Feather's URLs are different than their nicknames.

Not a problem for us, of course! But I cannot tell you how many conversations I’ve chimed in with, “That reminds me of Mistborn!” and have gotten blank stares in return… At least you understand me.

Welcome to this fandom. That is why we encourage continuing relationships with your converter. The converter convertee bond is a strong one and very important. Though I'm sure feather has more to say about torturing your convertee.
