An intriguingly important thing that people forget about Coldplay is the fact they're an incredible live band, because they know how to play the crowds as you can hear on LeftRightLeftRightLeft, one of their live albums. This is where you can hear how well their tunes function, since they manage to bring their anthemic resonance into the stratosphere. To be honest, you notice a weird paradox on their concert platters, i.e. Coldplay remain a highly introspective band, yet they connect this contemplation on the arenas, which don't resemble the type of venues, where this sort of music could prosper. Then again, they're pulling the same trick as U2, though they are warmer than them. Yes, I still stand by what I said before – Coldplay are the Nintendo 64 version of U2.
