Oh! Oh oh oh!

I forgot one VERY important milestone that happened - we celebrated our first circumnavigation milestone - crossing all degrees of latitude!

We’d officially circumnavigated! It was such an amazing feeling - the group of us had sailed around the world and nobody could ever take that away.

There were another two circumnavigation milestones to look forward to as well: Our return to London (where the race started) and finally the return to Gosport (where the adventure started for most of us).

Look closely. See the bird?

That’s Peter Pigeon. We picked him up 400 miles off the coast of Northern Ireland. He’s a messenger pigeon who has clearly gone very, very astray. He stuck around with us (hey, food and water!) until the coast where I may or may not have put some effort into getting him to fly away for good.

We did call his owner though.
