blows a kiss to my homies
It really sucks having leg jiggling as a visual trigger, because some people need to leg jiggle. Some people jump their legs as a coping mechanism, or they need to in order to focus, some people like to stim by leg jiggling... it can sometimes get in the way of actively respecting other people’s disorders
Me: *sitting alone in waiting room jiggling my leg furiously*
Stranger: *enters room, walking*
Me: *jiggles leg with less intensity and tries to not act weird*
Stranger: *notices my fidgeting and slightly awkward atmosphere around them, but ignores it and continues on their way, exiting the room*
Me: *goes back to jiggling leg furiously but is more self conscious about it this time*
You know that feel when your leg starts bouncing/jiggling?
So we all have a dominant leg for it right? the one that's amplifies everything like rubbing the rim of a wine glass?
I've always tried to transfer to my non-dominant left leg with little success. like, it's really forced and it's like I'm working my muscles and having to think about it, like climbing instead of running downhill where everything gets faster and faster, but I do it anyway because I have this worry that my right leg will be disproportionately stronger then my left...
Anyway what I wanted to ask was are any of y'all... ambi-leg-strous??
It must be a thing, right? I'm right handed and it's my right is the jiggle-leg, is this the common setup? do left handers lean towards left jiggle-leg? I AM CURIOUS
I know leg bouncing is annoying to other people but it's calming for me when I have anxiety which is most of the time so I'm really sorry if I bother you with my constant leg bouncing
