NEW BTE UPDATE THAT YOU GUYS NEED TO BE AWARE OF IN THE RPC

something i've come to notice as of yesterday is that the TITLE section and the PARAGRAPH section of text posts are no longer two completely separate things in BTE. this is rather problematic and i'll explain why.

UPDATE: for some odd reason, throwing this under a READ MORE triggers it to not show up on the dash. so this is a relatively long post and i do sincerely apologize for it.

as you see in the images down below there is the TITLE and then there's the PARAGRAPH section ( which is currently empty ).

now let's say i decided to add some dummy text ( via lorem ipsum ) for shits and giggles. it now looks like this.

now, you see, there's a slight problem with this and i'll explain why ...

remember when i said that the TITLE and the PARAGRAPH sections aren't two separate things anymore?? i wasn't joking. the highlighted part down below his where the TITLE goes when you're in HTML mode:

this can be problematic if you're not paying attention to your formatting and whatnot when using BTE. want to know why?? because looks hella weird and make your initial posts will look like they're double spaced as these two starters i made which is definitely a no-go:

so the first thing you're gonna want to to when having a new text post open is completely hit the backspace until it goes from IMAGE A to IMAGE B to IMAGE C.

after you've done this you'll be able to insert your dividers, icons, and text. it'll end up looking perfectly normal like these two starters i made:

WHAT DOES EACH WIDGET DO IN BETA TEXT EDITOR?

i'm slowly, but surely, in the process of copying and pasting all of my old PSAs from my previous RPC Source Blog onto here. this post explains what each of the widgets do in BTE due to the vast differences between BTE and LTE. so with that being said, look no further than down below on what each thing does. i will throw everything under a READ MORE for simplicity's sake because it's gonna get long.

this is what the legend looks like when you highlight any / all of your text in BTE.

keeping it on Regular means that your text is ... well ... plain. normal. vanilla. whatever descriptive word you want to use. however! you can click on the arrow right beside it to have this pop up instead.

hey! do you think you could make a color text tutorial? cause everytime i try to put in custom color in html, it reverts back to the original black

hello there, anon!

i'm going to take a wild guess and say that you're using Legacy Text Editor ( LTE ). the reason i say this is because LTE unfortunately doesn't support colored text. what i recommend you doing is switching over to Beta Text Editor ( BTE ) because that supports it! i actually just finished up this tutorial here explaining how to do it after receiving this ask. i hope you find it useful and feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions about BTE!
